Man of the Millennium

Mr. Kalayana Sundaram worked as a Librarian for 30 years. Every month in his 30 year experience(service), he donated his entire salary to help the needy. He worked as a server in a hotel to meet his needs. He donated even his pension amount of about ten lakh rupees to the needy.

He is the first person in the world to spend the entire earnings for a social cause. In recognition to his service, the American government honoured him with the Man of the Millennium award. He received a sum of Rs 30 crores as part of this award which he distributed entirely for the needy as usual.

All our Politicians, Film stars, Business magnets, cricketers Press and we all Indians should be PROUD and also should be ashamed of ourselves. American Government has honored him but we Indians even don't know that such a personality exist amongst us.

Atleast have the courtesy to pass this on and on till the whole world comes to know about this Great Good Samaritan.

Hat's off Kalayana Sundaram.. We Indians are extremely proud of you and

proudly say "THIS HAPPENS ONLY IN INDIA"

By Sharing this I just want to inspire my fellow friends that if only we just be brave and selfless enough to contribute one month of our salary or pocket money to the people who we feel is really needy .

Dont worry ur money will surely come back to u in form of love and blessing of people u helped
😊

P.S. Our Sarasawti Chnadra is more then just a lover to Kumud Sundari .He is a philanthropic Man who helps needy and smiles in their smile which he brings to them

Thank you for sharing this valuable news. i am sure someone will get inspired by this. I am a college student, I have no earnings except some scholarships i awarded. My family is helping the persons in need. By giving food, clothe, money in the way we can.And we are ready to serve further more if god bless us with the health.
Media is behind the sensational news. This kind of news must be appreciated. This is the true humanity !
Hats off to the great man!

i respect ur family and applaud it👏

as student all we can do is be a volunteer and take few hours out of our busy schedule and help needy people

just visit some handicapped organisation near by and volunteer for free to people their...or search a needy person around and help him in his daily task ...just an hour in week is soemetimes a great help...no pressures just help ...spend an hour with them...and our contribution to humanity is surely done 😊

When I spend a certain amount of money for lunch around campus on persons who need it instead of myself (it's very simple to buy a few sandwiches and coffee for the homeless rather than go out for sushi or something with friends... after all, I have food at home which I can eat after just a few hours wait,) I feel elated and blessed and so very blissful... So, I really couldn't imagine the delight Mr. Sundaram has felt for so many years.

Very proud. Thank you so much for the news, Shana! 😊

Couldn't agree more here, Shana! I got for at least 5 hours a week at a senior centre across the city to volunteer. All I do is dance during the summer parties, interact with seniors, even if they can't speak in English, sit in the garden and just be with them... It really does make a positive contribution. They spend time with people, something many scarcely get to do!

That's why I understood the minute Sunny told Kumud oh so long ago, that the only time Saras smiled was when he spent time with senior ladies in a care centre on Mother's Day... such a change in someone's life right before your eyes... it's totally worth it, ji! 😃 😳
