>>> I agree with your thoughts, reg. Saras outfits. Initially I thought he was recovering from his injuries and heartbreak etc. , it made sense to not show him well dressed. However, now he is the political advisor and also emotionally more stable, so no excuses to not dress him well. The makers need to pay more attention to our lead Saraswatichandra.

>>> Thanks veeraji.
I have to say I disagree 😳
>>> not a problem.

I've seen a lot of eavesdropping in Hindi serials, but for some reason, Saras popping up doesn't surprise me nor disgust me like it does usually when I see it on screen... And when I tried to put two and two together, this is what I came up with:

1) in the jheel where his mum committed suicide, Saras promised he'd do everything he could to get Prammy and Kummy together... He's only fulfilling his promise by keeping an eye out on everyone... because after all, Kumu-Prammy are smack in the middle of the family... Whatever's happening in their relationship after coming back from the Desai house has affected the entire family.
>>>> even before the Jheel incident, Saras has been looking into Kumud's well being and there have been shots of Saras that cannot be appreciated. He is the lead if our show and every aspect of Saras is important to us. He acts so well, but I do not want the directors to kill his fab oerformance by depicting him like Guman who was the vamp. If there are quite a few of us who think there is a problem, then the makers need to look into it. If he is looking into the well being of the family, they should find other ways to show that rather than evesdropping etc.

2) He told Buddhidhan himself about how much this family means to his "orphaned" self, which is why he's doing all he can to help. By the looks of it, he does seem like an, as someone mentioned, "self-appointed bodyguard," which is annoyingly noble and self-sacrificing, but because Saras/Navin is so important to the family's wellbeing now, it seems fit that he's poking his nose everywhere.
>>>> yes, I did mention, it will be great if BD appoints him as Kumud's bodyguard apart from being the political advisor of his party. By doing so, atleast there is a reason for him to be around Kumud and care for her well being. If you think its Ok for him to be everywhere, then its the depiction to the viewer that is important. The director and the story writers are not doing a good job, if the viewers are depicting certain flaws.

3) All in all, I think Saras/Navin's behaviour serves a literary purpose. Perhaps he's a motif... A symbol of "guardian angel" or "protection." And his peeping in the rasoyi vs his peeping in SB Devi and BD's conversation today proved that, I think. Because on one hand, he had eavesdropped into a conversation that tackled the core grief of the family... And on the other hand, he peeped in a conversation of absolute gossip and fun... two contrasting moods, both with him looking into each scene and reminiscing... I guess he really does serve the purpose of a protector 😆
>>> again, I say directors and story writers are not conveying and showing this role in a correct manner to the viewers.

I also looked into the colour orange's symbolism. From what I know, orange as a colour symbolizes creativity and new ideas. I'm not surprised he wore the colour of new ideas while giving BD a new, creative idea himself. My musing could be clearly coincidential, but I'm inclined to go with it's not, because they're still dropping a lot of literary hints here and there in the show 😃

As for the shiny mirror wala orange joda... my guess is Orange is used for the same purpose, but I don't know why he looks like Sallu Bhai (must be SLB's choice...) But, yes, he does look like a ladoo 🤣

>>>> my problem was not with the color but the outfit in general. As Annette has pointed out correctly, they have really been ignoring his outfits big time. He is the lead of our show with superb acting, and if they pay attention to his outfits, it will work wonders.

My ans. in italics.

Makers,

You have done this to Saraswatichandra before, however, today it appeared a bit weird. You showed Saras evesdropping and interrupting the conversation between BD and his wife, that they were having in their bedroom. You showed him evesdropping again, when the women of the family were having a conversation in the kitchen. All this appears a bit weird and does not suit the character of Saraswatichandra, who is a pretty sensible educated guy. You had earlier shown Guman in a similar manner, and it was Ok for her character. However, do not start showing Saraswatichandra popping up at all places and evesdropping.

Also, today his orange outfit was a bit odd, not at all suitable for the occasion. It appeared he was dressed to show off his physique to impress Kumud or Kusum, and this party was his opportunity to do so. May be some of you liked it, but for me it was not appropriate.

Very true...It was quite odd and weird to portray Saras as an eavesdropper (like the wicked witch Gumaan). And the costume he wore... I thought he was to partake in the folk dance.

I admire Gautam Rode, he is a fab actor.😳

>>>> this was exactly the reason for my post. I do not want viewers to FF scenes of the lead actor of our show Saraswatichandra. The directors and the stylist are not doing a good job for Saras. Looks like they are paying more attention to the DV angle of the story to please TRP aunties.

>>>> thanks.
I think even if he was going to dance, it was not appropriate for Kumud's sasural. He is like a BD son, not their son. Today, we know he did not dance, so outfit was definately not appropriate.

Saras was so suave and sophisticated. A learned man of principles. And look what they have reduced him to . How much he is bowing down to please others .Saras is not like they have been portraying in last few episodes . On top of that they are dressing him up like langoor .
Moreover, why should he explain and give reasons to Kalika about bringing Kumud back home safely ...who is Kalika ?

Today Kusum started taunting him , so whenever each member of VC family will meet Saras, accusation will start , and serial will have 1000 episodes .👏

>>> true, I am unable to exactly point the flaws. Wonder, if the makers are paying more attention to the DV track, whoever is writing is not doing a good job. After ruining Kumud's character, looks like next they are after Saraswatichandra. Makers will be really foolish if they ignore the backbone of their show.

>>>> aaj kal, every one acts like Saras boss and he has to give explanation to everyone.

>>>I think, high time he starts giving back. The VC family really needs a dose of it.

SC_wellwisher ji, you have many good points... I guess looking on the bright side isn't enough to excuse the quality of the show... But, I guess as long as we keep tuned and Gautie keeps making the efforts he's continually making now, there could be some improvement 😊

>>> I have noticed sometimes the makers take us for granted. Discussing the flaws is good for the show, it helps the makers know if viewers are not happy with a certain aspect. I demand only the best for my lead actor Saras and expect the director/writer/ stylist to give their best.
I have noticed changes being incorporated whenever problems with the show are discussed at this forum.

I think so too. The makers are yet to find a balance between pleasing the TRP aunty, and keeping people like us, who enjoy the show because it's different from others intrigued.

Although I still stand with my "protector" motif, I must admit that I can only see this after doing much, much late night analysis of situations regarding protectors for literature papers... and I didn't really see this right away like I usually see a new facet of Saras' character 😆
This isn't the best the CVs have given us so far... I've seen much better portrayal of a new facet of "Protector Saras" months prior to now, too... Hopefully the makers will conjoin all they have scattered soon, and make this show as holistic as they used to! 😆
