Arshi, Your broken lines, beautifully broken after so long, because so was the epi... After so long. Standing-frickin-ovation to GR & JW... Reminding us once again of why we continue to hold on ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ and GR, I repeat, Small word, three letters BUT Nobody says "Maa" the way you do ๐Ÿ‘

As much as I loved "Tadap Tadap Ke" (honestly I believed the song had caused as much emotional damage to me as possible, but today it beautifully assimilated another heartbreak) another song was playing in my mind right through sequence, Tera Rastaa from Chennai Express... Most esp the lines, "Zinda hoon lekin woh baat nahi hai, haathon mein tera jo haath nahi hai... Ishq ka hai naam bada maine hai kiya kaam bada, kar ke magar adha chodu naa. Tere mukh se yeh chehra modhoon naa... Tera rastaa main chodhoon na" ๐Ÿฅบ

The sequence itself was beautifully done. Chock-full of "affect". Hope that glorious element doesn't "Sunny" ๐Ÿ˜‰ from the show again... And teeming with markers of Saras as sheild, Saras as protector, Saras as Kumud's 'rock'. Notable mentions: Saras noticing that rock even before K did & removing it from her path. Reminded me of that bandaid sequence, where that time he noticed the means of temporary suture and made it available to her. Here he is not even waiting for 'anything' to even 'strike' Kumud before he 'acts'. Pre-empting every 'waar' directed towards her, in a sense and foiling it. But, what of that 'waar' which is Saraswatichandra, himself? Also, the instance of S 'lowering' himself so that Kumud can 'rise' and 'reach'... That is essentially what he has been doing while taking all of Pramad's insults silently, for her sake. Due to her kasam. Saras has gone some ways in helping K rise already - to her Beta state. And now, with his kasam taken, he intends to help her 'reach', the aim she has set for her relation. Amazing how one simple chivalrous gesture, represented so much. Great going, CV's ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ Last, was him acting as a protective barrier so that she doesn't "stumble & fall"... This bit was even more portentous. And will return to it later.

The best part however was the payal. A very vague marker but. It needs to be re-visited again for to make sense. Few thoughts: with what "haq" was Kumud wearing that payal, technically a 'shagun' from Saraswati? Why was the significance & provenance of the payal reinforced with a flashback & with Saras' utterly heartwrenching utterance, "Maa", too boot. Thereby "exposing" it as Saraswati's? Why now, when both Saras & Kumud are resolved to 'separate'? It would mean that at the point (interaction with goons) she was bereft of all markers (mangalsutra etc and all wealthy trappings associated with the BD family) except the one delineating her as Saras'. Another curious parallel has also been brought to light with the re-intro of payal. A payal secure & resplendent around her leg. While a mangalsutra sullied, torn, broken that refuses to stay at its rightful place. Also read the payal as a "shackle"... In a positive sense. It will bind her feet & refuse to let Kumud literally "move on". Despite both her & Saras' resolve. It is a bind that made its way into Kumud's hand by fate. By the same fate that dealt her such a cruel hand. She opted to wear it out of her own choice. And removing it will not be that easy. Paradoxically, her marriage binds her no longer. Those 'shackles' have been loosened, erased and taken off, time and over. Rather, the 'bind' which now holds Kumud is the implicit, the "ehsaas" in her heart & the truth in her soul does. The payal which she wore out of her own volition. A 'shackle' she embraced. Today was a fleeting and impactful acknowledgement of that.

To return back to Kumud's "stumble & fall", essentially, today was all about silently illuminating all the chinks in Kumud's armour. From the beginning right through to the precap... Today was "make Kumud flinch" day. Ironically, it is also testament to just how star crossed S & K are that Saras is now in a place, binded "twice" where "ehsaas" will not influence him in that way anymore. Witness his interaction with Kalika. Saras views Kumud in a different light now. With the same love, but not "in love". His side of the equation has changed from "haq" to "hadd". Whereas her "haq marker" (payal) was brought to light today and she will have to confront her past at every possible turn now. Her companion reflection at the lotus pool has just taken a step back, at her own behest. Now, when she will realise she needs him more so, than ever, he will appear to be 'lost' to her. Is this precisely the jolt Kumud needs?

Let's highlight the 'chinks' that were brought to light today:
First, when utterly bereft of support & direction, she follows his lead to get them both home. A semblence of that cruelly broken 'trust' is slowly returning... Saras has started making inroads into K's heart once more.

Second, the payal. It was a revelation to all that she still wears it. All, except Kumud. Last when we saw the payal, K had locked it, to start a new married life. What changed? What led her to cross the limits she had delineated in such a bold way? I really hope further light is shed on this by Kumud herself... CV's, if you would please? ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Third, when she attempts to exercise her rights as ordained by fate (Pramad's wife), she is tripped by a demon of a stumbling block... Who is Saraswatichandra? Kumud cannot move on in her marriage until she answers posed question or till P finds out, by his own devices. Whichever way, the 'revelation' does not bode well, for all, at all.

Fourth, with Kusum in attendance Kumud is more vulnerable than ever before. Possibly because she will have to mind a 'child' whilst for the beginning playing deception games with her as well. You can see the facade Kumud still maintains, esp with Kalika, but she is scared underneath and Kusum's arrival have just aggravated her tensions.

And fifth, even tho it is the precap: Alak's remark did not come across as innocent. It was delivered rather calculatively, unless Vahbbiz is trolling us again. So maybe it is Alak's dig at Mother dearest for their unscrupulous pairing of Pramad & Kumud. Maybe to underscore her irritation at Kusum being there, but Alak was smiling more than usual. Even Kumud did not get this attention from the 'kingmaker' at the beginning... Unless Alak has a plan to make Kusum her new BFF, which I doubt. Otherwise, Alak is on her guard. Curious, cautious, probing and defensive.

A question: was Kusum foisted upon the BD's? Was she unleashed upon Kumud's in-laws without fair warning or due permission being sought? All were flabbergasted to see her, stunned into speechlessness at the sight. Hasn't VC thus wilfully crossed his "hadd"? Is this move by his DIL's father who issued him an indirect caution going to put BD family on the defensive. Are they all going to collude now, to paint a happy picture of "family" if not matrimony for Kusum? But how? For a part of their family, is "radioactive" to their cause, they simply don't know it yet. Recall Saras' faux pass regarding Kusum? Primary reaction was that of Kalika's followed by Pramad. A portent, perhaps. Since Kalika has gone back to her "seva" offers to Saras... The repentance and fear of bringing shame to father, evaporated.

Thus, while Pramad sudhar has been for now, thwarted with a significant roadblock, Saras' paradafaash seems to be hot on the agenda. And when the truth finally comes out, a lot of ignorant innocents are going to be implicated. As well as the two who have had no option but to dig themselves deeper and deeper. Also, you can see Kumud being re-awakened in relation to her "ehsaas". From now, it will be Saras, who will be chief on her mind. Fear & concern for him will dominate her. Because he is being hunted. And she is being watched. But firmly in the clutches of her countless predicaments, does she even realise that? Most probably not, but let's take heart, that there is someone watching over her too. Who realises and will act.

P.S. Apologies for the rushed nature of the above. Cutting it extremely fine for a meeting but today's epi merited a double-watch and left a deep craving to debrief... After so long. Hence, habit-challenged monster rears its head ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Hilarious but true, Arshi...

Just realised that different people in BD clan have been given different pieces of the jigsaw...

BD knows/guesses Navin is prob the missing "Saraswatichandra"

Pramad knows Kumud's ex was Saraswatichandra

Kalika knows Navin and Kumud seem to care more about each other than is warranted... Kusum just has to mention "didi ki kamarbandh kahan gayi..." or somesuch for Kalika to say..."Naveenchandra -ji ke backpack main chhipa hai"???!!!!

Alak knows that Kumud's marriage to Pramad was a shotgun affair - "kal baraat leke aayie...!" But knows not the reason why?

Alak also knows Navin has some painful memories, she has caught him brooding several times.

Mrs. BD/Indresh know nothing...

Moorkhdas may have noticed more than he lets on, I feel he may be a hidden trump card...
"Mehmaan-ji" aur "Bahu-rani" both speak more unguardedly to him, because they think he's harmless...๐Ÿ˜‰

(They all also know Saras/Navin saved Kumud's life putting his own at risk...๐Ÿ˜›...But, Why???)

Which is why it will be interesting to see hoow the saras exposure will happen. But tonite kusum will be the key

Right word used there in your wonderful analysis Arshi - Intensity!
And that is exactly what was missing in the last two episodes...that tadka of pyaar and passion! Doesnt mean that have to be in each others arms but to be there in their eyes! And that tadka of attitude in pramaad was spot on!! For me, he stole the show completely yday! Come to him later!
Pehle...The Journey of the past and the future! and how beautiful!
Do raastey, doh manzil...kaaha par chaley yeh do raahi pyaar ke!
"It started when we were younger
You were mine my boo
Now another brother's taken over
But its still in your eyes my boo
Even though we used to argue it's alright
I know we haven't seen each other
In awhile but you will always be my boo" (Usher ft Alicia Keys)
This song is one of my faves! and while tadap tadap was totally apt for their journey..I've added an angrezi tadka to it! lol!
I am speechless however as the emotions expressed were so beautiful. Thank You CVs for this pal and for not ruining it with words...as there was no space for words because all could be read in each others eyes.
Saras will always protect Kumud! He in all aspects is fulfilling all the vachans of a saat phere. Standing by her. He is the one who will make sure that not even a kharosh falls upon her (fulfilling the duties of a son in law!)
How beautiful was the scene where they get on the cart...Saras on one knee and seeing the paayal how he just cant control his tears. I died then. What a beautiful scene. Gautam and Jenny created magic, history, art, chemistry!! All subjects on one canvas there!
I have one tiny irritation but chalo maaf kiya CVs..tum bhi kya yaad karoge!! (This was the fact that Saras sees his mums paayal but when did he know/find out that Kumud has it? have I missed that part somehow?)
achaa chalo koi nai...
Moving on...all was sooo serene and beautiful about their journey I am lost for words! Saras silently stepping back as Kumud goes in first. Knowing his maryaada. Totally realising that he no longer has that haqq (I love this word!..thanks happychappy? apologies I cant remember who mentioned the whole haqq and hadd thing..The best analysis on CB ever!! those two words define SC!!)
I dont get tired of praising Gautam and Jenny's acting! They go above and beyond! I feel indebted particularly towards Gautam for giving us Saras...for such beautiful acting, expressions that have gone straight to my heart and has a special place. I cant compare to apni Toni but I have this massive place in my heart for Gautam so whatever he does..I am in total awe of and will always love!
Jenny is Kumud! Yday while watching the show it really hit me that what an apt choice and also got me thinking that I wonder how Jenny feels abt SC...her past shows have been mega hits..KZK,DMG...they have been blockbusters infact and here SC hasnt proven too succesful in the number games...I hope she never leaves this show because as much as Saras belongs to Gautam, Kumud belongs to Jenny. They have a haqq on these characters!
Now coming onto Pramaad!! WOW WOW WOW! Actor mein dum hai! Pramaad is a character that will always be associated with Aanshul Trivedi! How people remember say Barun as Arnav and how no one can take his place...Aanshul will always be remembered as Pramaad! He is good and the way he displays sarcasm is awesome! I dont ever want Pramaad to become a goody because this suits Aanshul! He does this grey shade character so well! What a powerful performance! When he acts, you enjoy his cunningness! Usually people hate vamps and all and negative characters but he is one character which you enjoy to watch! I wouldnt say he is evil...he is just a shikaar of dad's expectations..I couldnt see this before though many pointed it out but many events yday showed that he is that.
The fact that twice he has mentioned how he isnt capable of being Kumud's husband...and the way he said it bugs me somewhat. Pehle talking to Saras he said that 'tumne toh uske mangal sutra ko bachaaya...mera kya kaam' and then again yday he said to his father that 'mein toh pati ban ne ke laayak nahi'. I dunno i felt hurt in his voice and expressions...Like he wants to be a good husband but its because of what people make him out to be so he cant. Like if you really think I am not capable to look after my wife then fine i am not!
His anger towards Saras at the car scene saying no one needs me and then yday's fight with BD...I felt there is room for reformation. If CVs want to go down the path of Pramaad changing this can happen because the more i see of Pramaad, the more I realise that he isnt plain negative (like Gumaan was evil). Mrs BD was right...his heart is clean.
UH OH. means no room for saras-kumud :-(
will Saras simply turn into a messiah that Kumud will learn to respect and not love :-(
OR will Pramaad reform and then die with his aakhri wish being that Kumud marries Saras!!!! giving her the happiness he never could!!! LOL!
all filmy! VERY FILMY!!!
Kat.

...naveen is not going to change, but kumud is adamant...

1) loved the Tadap Tadap sequence...but was it a marker?...sort of like a reverse HDDCS?
- There this is when hubby (true love) is taking the wife back to her BF (infatuation love) with whom she wants her future...

Here the BF (true love) is taking the wife back to her hubby (rishtewala 'love') with whom she wants her future ...

In either case wife goes back to true love...so is this a good sign?

2) Liked the payal scene...earlier when gumaan tried to give the ghungroo to kumud and DB switches with the payal...DB said that payal is what a MIL traditionally gives to her DIL...so is this a marker for a good sign...kumud wearing saraswati's payal?

Or
CVs are just winging it on a day to day basis...and we are uselessly wracking our brains out!

๐Ÿ˜•

hgg bhai...from now on you have to give us Hgg bhabhi's inputs too!! her analysis makes SC all good again!! Though thankfully yday's epi did a pretty good job of reeling us back in!
great analysis!
eeey...dont like this HDDCS reversal! but from the way Kumud was speaking to Pramaad...she definitely seems to want to give it her all and Saras saying to Kalika ke ab choti sethaani will look after chote seth and kumud ka ghar...he has fully accepted that she is now married and he is a nobody in her life. Time to move the rail gaddi to another station!! Bas yeh station Kusum ka na ho!! ๐Ÿคข
but are CVs indicating the likelihood of SC following the novel/movie ending. I think in one of them Saras didnt marry kusum? will kusum's presence make Kumud realise that through kusum she can make sure saras is well looked after etc etc? ๐Ÿคข
the paayal wala scene was too die for! I close my eyes and I can see it...all I am thinking about since yday is that scene! But does seem that makers chook gaye..either in realising that Saras didnt know Kumud had the other paayal or are they just using it to their convenience by giving us such a beautiful scene which only the existence of the paayal wudve created and so thinking chaddo logic and completion ko!
Just like I hope to God they complete the story of Sunny's search for Saras...abhi toh Kusum has gone to Kumud's maika and phir bhi sunny ka kuch pata nahin...I thought they both wanted to make sure that kusum goes there to find out so I really hope Kusum calls Sunny and lets him know that Saras yahaan hai! Please CVs! Dont make the blunder of boycotting Sunny after showing so much! ๐Ÿ˜ก
yeh sunny ki adhoori daastan.kardo poori!! ๐Ÿ˜†

Hence, habit-challenged monster rears its head ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

wow! I hope the CVs are on the same path as you!! I would love to see the pieces of your puzzle above join together and displayed in SC!! all the significance you have mentioned towards the paayal..I hope and pray the CVs show us exactly that!

@ kat,

Beautiful post Kat, really enjoy reading your posts.

A thought has been niggling me for a while

The main reason for Saras's problem was his broken relationship with his father

Kumud fixed that and Saras was fixed

The same seems to be the case with pramaad.

Will Kumud again realize that his relationship with bd is the reason

For pramaad to be the way he is ?

So will she again use the same strategy?

Fix his relationship with his dad

And hence fix pramaad

Another parallel between Saras and pramaad !!
