To her mother she reiterates her stand. In back episodes, it was showed how elder aunt and detractors were speaking about damage to prospects for others etc. Just because its not elaborated here at this juncture- how important it is for a middle class, provincial family- we may not deduce it unimportant from our urbane POV where all these may sound gibberish perhaps. Besides, just because 'revert' was immediate, it may not take away gravity from it, or original 'cause'/ root of the 'damage'. For all Desai's know- even now, in 'absence' of us viewer's bird eye view that he has come and 'suffered' a lot- Vyas family's decision/no show is final. Perhaps We should spare convenient fine points like why they didn't call back/ didn't 'understand '!! Actually they tried twice; only to be left unanswered once and cut off at others. On the contrary no call or even information of revert to them from Dubai end.
Don't want to be dragged in some long drawn debate, but just a mention- by now this is second time, "marry elsewhere."
'Both are victims of circumstances'- yes. But Veera, factor in the lack of elaboration please, my friend.

My apologies, Smrth bhai. I can see how much I did not elaborate upon what I meant. I meant to say just how much this sudden choice of both Kumud and Vidyachatur is going to affect Kumud internally--- mentally, emotionally, spiritually, once she is in less anxiety, anger, shock and tension. And even though she stated herself that she has no dreams and aspirations left, thus, she is indifferent to where she is married off, today's episode, contrary to yesterday's, showed the same Kumud struggling against her feelings for Saras, which just (for us) yesterday, she had turned into hate.

I totally and completely understand the lack of communication from the Vyas family, and the seriousness of such a situation for the Desai family, considering their class and the society in which they live. Indeed, I can be empathetic with the Desai's and their situation, considering this is Saras' second rejection. My apologizes for my lack of communication!

Yes, it was so clear yesterday that all Kumud's efforts at physical annihilation of their relationship has done absolutely nothing for her as far as erasing Saras from her mind and spirit...

From the moment she picked up Saras vibes whe he was close by and in distress, she could not have a moments peace, she was just so eager to go find him... and when she picked up the payal, got physical proof of his presence there, she was just shattered. The entire time she was oblivious to her surroundings, her new "bridegroom", MIL,...nothing existed other than Saras!

Someone called Saras naive the other day (hot-dogg?). Believe me these two are so made for each other. How naive was Kumud to think she could carry off being married to any other guy? The emotional mental and physical trauma she would face? Evey single day?

Only wish Team SC would get over celebrating their 100 episodes and focus on the important job of rescuing us from this black hole! I dont think they have a clue as to the effect of their show on us... What's to celebrate after doing last rites for Saras-Kumud?

Thank you, Happychappy, for communicating what I had difficulty in saying, and so much more. Absolutely valid 👏

yup...that was me...and agree 100%

in gujrati there is a saying: "Bhoot ne peepla mali riye"...

This is typically said in jest and means that 'ghosts will always find their peepal tree'... (in gujrati folklore ghosts typically live on peepal trees and once they find their peepal tree they dont leave it)...the sub-text here being that sooner or later one always finds what one seeks...(even for something as scary as a ghost)...and once you have found that, it is forever...

similarly our samud are so different and yet so alike...but they are made only for each other...only one matched pair exists...😎

and since they have found each other..they will just not be able to let go...and will keep on striving till they do come together...

After those last 10 dreadful days, I will sleep light today '

Strangely, I slept poorly last night... It's really difficult to just tell yourself that its just fiction - Saras/GR dusted himself out and went home after that shoot!! Kumud/Jen changed out of her costume and went home to hubby dear...And here some of us are Going Ga-ga like never before

Need to laugh about it, really!!

Veera, even I had the same feeling seeing her at the mandap. She agreed to marry Pramad to save her family honour and was also numb to her feelings. But as she went on the pheras she realised what she was doing, took her hand away from Pramad. I could almost feel like she wished she could just run away from everything but Guniyal persuaded her to continue. I was a bit angry at Guniyal at that time but as parents they also had no choice.Kumud was struggling so much with her anxiety and emotions as she was driven off in that car, mostly then knowing that Saras had come around and she didn't know why he didn't come to her. It is so difficult for a girl to be in that place where Kumud is today. You just live like a dead soul, if you have any emotions left then life will be a hell. I am still curious about Pramad, why maintain the secrecy of who he is and even the Desais don't seem to have seen his face.

I am really hoping after this long torture SLB gives us some justice. I want them to be together atleast in the end so that I can have a peace of mind, I don't want to see any adoori dastan in this.
I will just keep on saying the phrase "There is always light at the end of the tunnel".

Veera,
By 'elaboration', I mean script. Your post I had understood well...you are one writer, whose articulation, eloquence and reasoning I would always look forward to( wouldn't have exerted otherwise). And I count on basic adherence to logic and objective facts ( as much possible as in a 'fiction' 😆) in them always. Cast/character power may incline us to be partial- not complaining, just a mention. But basic objectivity, I do count in you.

About Kumud, I am rehashing hoarse since days- she would immediately. For her thousand deaths are about her fight with her conscience and integrity only.🤢
I agree with you.

@ Kaadal: Indeed, it will be unbearable to watch Kumud go through such pain throughout her married life. Also adding in the fact that Saras is present in her very household, yet again, shall not only be unbearable for us, but must be unimaginable for Kumud.

Well written, and well described Kaadal. Thanks so much for your reply! 😊

Oh! My bad yet again Smrth bhai, with my lack of understanding! Thank you for your repeated clarification... I think my comprehensive and analytical skills have gone down the drain in my misery 😆 I take note of your point, completely agree, and hence worth, shall make an effort to be extra careful in articulating my thoughts to maintain my objectivity and not let my emotions get in the way of my analysis.

Thank you for such compliments, Smrth bhai. 😊 It is actually such an honour to be getting such lovely comments and feedback from you, from Arshi, and the rest of our very highly commendable CB writers. 😳 And I see you've picked up on my modesty well! I find it difficult to take compliments 😆

Indeed, it will be hard to see Kumud struggle between her desires and her integrity. However, on a positive note, I hope we will see a literary outcome, a theme or motif, through an exploration of Kumud's struggles with her principles, her values, her feelings, and her desires. 😊
