Somebody very aptly said these few words since that's what sums up the whole situation for me. Both Saras and Kumud are caught in a cobweb right now..Saras has got the biggest shock of his life where he can not see anything except the fact that his mom died coz of LN..Does that mean he loves his mother more than Kumud..maybe Yes! But the whole revealtion has broken him from deep inside that he cannot decipher what is right and what is wrong.

Kumud..She has always been a very dedicated soul. For her love means giving urself to the one you love and that's why the ever so arrogant(as coined by some) gal didn't even resist begging or pleading for his saath. "Saam daam dand bhed" That's the strategy that we all follow when we are desperate for something..that's what she did..Begged for his
mercy,tried to give him duhai of her family but her
love couldn't deter saras' determination. Is her love for Saras not strong enough atm..Yes,maybe!
It was
not easy for her to tell her family what has happened to her but the meek words she screamed were the only ones she could manage. I cannot expect her to say sth gr8 in this situation. Her soul is tormented enough to make her unreasonable(if that's the case)

...thank God they made saras kumud so romantic else the show would have been unbearable...

Lol, totally agree about Saras and LN. Not about VC and Kumud - Saras just broke the marriage a day before it was supposed to take place. He asked for Kumud's hand in front of the whole village. It's not their job to sort out all of his personal problems with his father. He took on a responsibility by proposing marriage and then backed out a day before. Yeah he was facing a lot of problems, but when Kumud said that she would stick with him throughout everything he flat-out refused her. If I was in her place I would draw the same conclusion - this coward isn't worthy of my love.
