--PART 2--

Evening time…

Kumud lay in her bed thinking deep about her life and he future. She kept pondering for the reason of her existence.
"Ding Dong..." the door bell ring and Kumud, kind of, broke off from her pool of thoughts.

"Hello! Can I meet Kumud Sunadri?"

"Yes! This is me, what do you need?"

"Oh here take these" the person hands over a bouquet "Hope you like our services."

She gives a smile and then she slams the door. She then takes that bouquet to her room because never did any gift come to her family members but her and she knew that her step mom would be so damn excited to throw them if once she discovers them. It was then when she actually came out of her pool of thoughts. She ran upstairs and dropped her hand over the card that was hanging with those flowers. Yes, it was a shiny silver thread that held it tight. Kumud leaned to smell the card and impatiently read it.

Dear Kumud,

A very happy birthday to you. I know you'll be quite surprise by this but I now the situation is like, 'now or never'. Kumud, I want you to meet in Peaceful Retreat Garden sharp at 7 p.m. I do know that you're all alone and I do know about you. There's something important to deliver to you before the lights are completely out! It's really very urgent because it's related to your life. I'll be waiting for you right near the fountain. Please don't disappoint me…

Well wisher

Kumud got shocked for a while and after thinking about it for almost 30 minutes, she decided to go. The smell, the positivity, that strong good vibes, everything made it so magical! And Kumud could not get any reason to deny the invitation. Of course, the work was over and she was sitting idle and for sure, her mom won't disapprove for going out in the nearby. She quickly got up and got ready. The only thing was in her mind was, who and why? She was growing eager with every single minute passing by. She was a bit tensed too for if she couldn't reach on time. It was 6:45 now, Kumud grabbed the house key and went almost running.
Near the fountain

She found a guy standing right across the fountain. Kumud was facing his back and was desperate to know who he was.

"So, you did come!"

"Yes, I did. Who are you? And why did you call me?"

Saras turned around to look at her; after all even he was excited for their first meet, more of date. (wink)

"You?!", exclaimed Kumud.

"Yes! Me, Saraswatichandra.

Deep down her heart she knew that he was a kind of guy she could never ever talk with. He was a guy for whom almost all the girls would agree to die. He was, as everybody called him, the hottest guy if the school. He was a player of the football team. Tall, soft hairs with a cat style smile. He was a kind of guy who wouldn't even know whether a girl like Kumud existed or not. And only such stuffs were flushed into Kumud's mind but Saras had something just opposite to it.

"Kumud…"
He know my name? went a question in her mind.

"I want to confess something to you.."
Me?

"To begin with, happy birthday" Kumud gave a confused looked.

"You…know…I…I mean..you..I mean…you..a…an…and me…I mean…we…I mean you and me." Saras mumbled.
What is he up to? Is he here to bash me? Oh no, why did come here.

"Argh…Kumud…I just want to say, that…I…" Kumud looked considerately at him "look at these flowers…how are these…I brought it for you"

"They are gorgeous…um…is this is what you wanted to confess? I can't wait for long…I need to go…" Kumud stepped a little back and Saras panicky stopped her.

"No…no wait, I have something else to confess…"
What is it? C'mon speak up please. She thought. Saras knelt down on his knees and pulled out a small teddy bear from his left pocket.

"I…I……I….Love you.."

"Me?!" she totally got flabbergasted.

"Yes you!" Saras came near her and held her by the shoulders, pulled her a little towards him.

"Kumud…see I really love you. And all those stuff about you, I don't care. See…I know that you are one of the sweetest person I know. I know what all you've suffered because of you mom. And being bullied is something so not cool! I actually admire you from 6^th grade and I'll love you forever. I do understand the reason for your silence. I do see that pain behind that fake smile. And I do know all about you. I…I know how awkward the situation is and I mean…I know…you'll think I'm stupid. I know this propose is a flop style but I just can't act normal in front of you. See…I'm really sorry…please be my friend… don't get angry…"

Before he could speak more she kept her finger on her lips.

"Shh…", she snatched away the teddy bear and ran straight to the gate of the garden. She then twisted around and shouted aloud, "Thank you for accepting me with my Dark Side."

One would surely not miss such an occasion, I mean Kumud in her beautiful blue frock with frills and side hangings, and on top of that her cheeks turning pink. Saras came running near her and pulled her to his chest. The hugged each other tight. It was not a dream anymore. It was something Kumud was waiting for since ages. A person who would respect her the way she is.
