Like pretty much everyone else on the forum, I was caught off guard by the precap too..

But then I sat back and thought about it.. This actually came as an idea for an OS but I don't have the time to write an OS so I thought I'd just post my idea instead..

I think Kumud's hysterical crying and confession to Guniyal is in the wake of her getting intimate with Saras. Now, now, now.. I know that they are madly in love and getting intimate was just an extension/expression of their love.. Ideally, the bold, strong woman that Kumud is, she shouldn't be regretting it.. Especially since the new spoiler says that this happens after Saras has proposed marriage to Kumud that too in front of the whole family! But like I mentioned.. Ideal situation..

Despite all the boldness in her character, for Kumud, or any girl for that matter, getting intimate with a guy is a huge thing.. Especially for a girl like Kumud who has grown up in a household where sanskaar, izzat and maryada have been instilled into her personality and life.. She might fight against superstitions for what she believes is right, her family might stand by her even when she returns late at night (with a guy) but all of that is based on the secure knowledge that she knows where her limit lies..

Like both Vidyachatur and Dugba have mentioned more than once, Kumud knows her limits - where they draw the line, that defines her limit and they've raised her to be well aware of it..

But in getting intimate with Saras, Kumud is bound to be plagued by the guilt of having crossed that line.. Of having betrayed her parents' trust... Which I think explains her hysterical reaction... Its one thing to get carried away in the whirlwind of emotions in a moment and another thing to wake up and face the reality, the gravity of what has happened in the light of the morning..

If my speculations are true, then the strength and boldness of Kumud's character comes through in all this.. She realizes she has crossed a line, she realizes she has betrayed her parents' trust but she does not hide it and hope no one will know anything (which I've seen happen in way too many shows and I feel actually degrades the emotions too associated with the act).. That to me shows her strength of character... She owns up her mistake to her mom (coz despite being borne out of absolute, pure love - their act was still a crossing of a line that shouldn't have been crossed before marriage in the kind of family/society they belong to) because to her, her parents' faith in her matter the most and rightfully so..

Again, this is just what I think is going to happen.. I am not going to comment on whether what they did was right or wrong (that's a whole different topic of discussion altogether)..

What I am intrigued about is, if my speculations are right, then I really want to see Kumud's interaction with Saras post their consummation..

On the other hand, I could be completely wrong and Kumud may be having a breakdown for some other reason altogether 😆

But do drop in your two cents on what you think 😳

I was also quite shocked initially by the precap. However, unlike yourself, I haven't yet had the opportunity to digest it all and think it through. Indeed, everyone seems inclined toward the consummation scene now. And I will keep an open mind to not only this well-waited scene, but also, anything else that may prop up due to family problems, Guman, etc.

But one thing I do appreciate is your analysis of Kumud's character. Indeed, I am convinced that this scene is possible tomorrow from the way you have developed and justified Kumud's thought processes as her circumstances change around her. In fact, I can't really pinpoint anything else that would make our Sundari so fretted... so perhaps you are right! 😳

I've been thinking about it all day (I watched the episode online in the morning) and I somehow I just can't see Kumud fretting over what Guman says or does.. She kind of knows how vile Guman is so she doesn't expect anything less from her..

But whatever it is, I for one am really excited for the much awaited scene tomorrow.. For the mindblowing chemistry that I am sure we'll get to see..

I agree with you about that... I don't think Kumud would ever freak out over what Guman says... not now anyway. But I was just discussing with Arshi how a new phase is starting in the show... so the mood is changing and so are the characters... If consummation is the case, then albeit, it shall be amazing, just like the rest of this show!

However, my mind still dwells on the precap... and the emotional and mental situation Kumud is in. It leaves a heavy feeling in my gut, and I'm sort of worried of what's to come after!
