I know that strike my mind too...

Kumud literally treat Dukhba as her maa and she literally treats Kumud as her daughter...in fact, she loves her more than her own daughter!!!
and she loves Saras as a son and he actually would have been her son if LN had married her😆

But either way in many rituals and customs, cousins marriages happen!!
