Why does Saras not want to marry Kumud

Let us discuss, what we fathom from the story as yet. Why does Saras not want to marry Kumud at this point in the story? Why did he say no to her in the first place? According to the character sketch, - -does he not want to marry at all?

- is he totally into spirituality and bachelorhood?

-does he specifically not want to marry Kumud?

What could be the reasons?

What is this pain other than the fact that his father never loved his mother and rejected him?

There maybe multiple reasons for it.. One of the reason for his rejection is the fact that it was his father's decision. He doesnt trust his father to have an understanding of soulmate..The sufferings of his own mother being a testimony to that. I do not think Saras is against marriage..Its the decision of his father that he doesnt trust. I think that is the main reason..add to that the fact that he did not consult him ..instead dropped his decision like a bomb from nowhere. His stubborn side which usually is latent unlike Kumud, just kicked in..

The only reason I can think of is because his father chose kumud, and he does not trust his father's choice.

There are many reasons for his refusal...Though I think the primary reason for his rejection is because it was his fathers decision and that too without even consulting Saras...He's seen what his mother has gone through because of his dad and doesn't think that he's able to make a wise decision when it comes to life partners as his father has failed miserably in that arena...as far as I can tell Saras doesn't hold Guman in such a high regard...he's civil to her but that's about it...

I don't see it as Saras rejecting Kumud but rather rejecting the idea of marriage brought forth by his dad if that makes sense...

Ya, so firstly, Saras doesn't trust his father's judgement in terms of a life-partner. He never loved his mother and was superficial enough to marry a lady like Gumaan.. So he may feel that his father's choice of a DIL is wrong..

He may be harboring an innate fear of leading a life as love-lorn/love-less as his mother's; for he is a sensitive soul, capable of loving deeply and in fact spiritually; and he fears that he may not receive as much love as he would give..

He fears that he will fall in love and not get it back...

From what i've gathered in the last few episodes, I think he said no to Kumud without seeing her is because he was upset over his father choosing his life partner without consulting him. He obviously doesn't trust his father's choice which is seen in Saras's relationship with Ghuman where he doesn't really connect with her but he maintains a distant relationship with her nonetheless. Perhaps, the past demons thing coming in next week's episodes will make things a bit more clear :)

What I feel is, since Saras's father betrayed his mother, Saras has lost faith in him and his decisions regarding a perfect soul mate. The reason alone being that Kumud is Saras's father's choice, made him reject her.
But Love is budding and inevitable! 😳

the main reason is that kumud is his father's choice n without his concern he already decided thats y he is not wanting to marry kumud

I agree with your point about his father choosing a bride for him. It could be either because of the way his father treated his mom or it could be he has lost faith in his father.

Other than Kumud being his father's choice, I think Saras doesn't want such decisions to be made by anyone else, rather by himself.

We have to wait to see how the story enfolds.
