"This is the part of the female perspective I disagree with. Because it's like then you can say: because she loves him she did this - well, but she shouldn't love someone who doesn't treat her right." Nina Paley, Sita sings the blues.
On a lazy Thursday, Bhopal's news channels are abuzz as a reality show unfolds near a court of possibly misplaced justice. Unfortunately, they cannot capture it on camera. Prince Lamba Achamba (our desi Superman ) seems to have been wounded when rescuing a certain warrior. He will now be wheeled on chariots of fire towards the lair where his Pachmarhi princess lies in deep slumber...SKBM phankas tiredly look on at the tragic-comic turn of events, even now clinging to the slim hope that they may see the show redeemed...but alas! This update brought to you by DZ Pasta 😈.
Outside the courthouse, everyone looks on in horror when they hear a gunshot from the roadside tussle ensuing between BBP and the two fake assailants. An ambulance rushes BBP to the city hospital. At the hospital BBP covered by a grey woolen blanket is wheeled in on a gurney, the media bays to get a small piece of the story. BBP grimaces with pain as he is masked in hospital plastic and tubing. Harivansh looks on in shock at the happenings. As he is being wheeled through the hallways, Govind Shankar (GS), Shukla and other political retinue look anxious. AHA!! BBP is wheeled into a room adjacent to Pooja's.
In a car, Krish drives Bhavna and Arti towards the hospital. Arti recalls BBP coming to her rescue. Bhavna and Krish argue about the latest events. Bhavna says that BBP rescued Arti because she is Pooja's sister. However Krish thinks that the goons and the shooting are just a setup by BBP. Through the argument, Arti sits quietly mulling over things.
At the hospital, GS is summoned to the door, Rangoli has arrived. He escorts Rangoli and Giridhar as they are swarmed by the media. When reporters ask Rangoli about the shooting, she responds that even if BBP lost his life for his electorate, she would be proud of him.
GS tells Rangoli that BBP has been shot by 2 bullets and is in critical condition. Rangoli and Giridhar are being escorted by GS when they see constables frisking a man in a white labcoat pretending to be a doctor. He has a hidden camera on him. The cops kick him and Harivansh looks on angrily as Rangoli and Giridhar are allowed into the ICU. Through an ICU door port they see Puja laid up in a bed - she is finally hooked up to all kinds of fancy machines with squiggles, blips and squeaks. She is struggling for breath but Rangoli and Giridhar just look on and smirk. They go into another room, see an empty bed and wonder aloud where BBP is. They hear his voice calling from the other side of screen - that he is having a feast. They turn the corner around the screen and see him eating some really fancy hospital food (hmmm...before we were shown that this guy ate halka phulka?). When Rangoli asks him about the gunshots, he affirms that yes indeed he was shot but says that it was all a 'filmy style' set up. Rangoli asks him what this is all about. BBP says it was to inflame the sympathies of the electorate. He switches on the TV - the channels show people expressing grief at the shooting. An old man who is being interviewed tells the reporter that BBP is like his own son and he feels like his own child has been shot. BBP looks like he is about to burp in happiness and Rangoli smirks at him.
In the hospital hallway, Arti looks on at a TV screen, people are telling the journalist that the entire city is praying for BBP. An onlooker says that such a leader is born only once in blue moon (arrey we phankas tried telling the SKBM CVs the same! But what to do?). Arti gets agitated watching this outpouring of sentiment and she strides away from the screen. Harivansh speaks up, did she have doubts that she could have been wrong in judging BBP? When she responds affirmatively, Harivansh assures her that she was in the right. Any man who could cloth Puja's shooting in untruth could also stage a fake shootout.
He was sure that BBP was staging this because of the immediacy of the election. Puja's case could have cost him the election, now he was turning the events into a success so he could garner the electorate's sympathy. Arti starts thinking over the incident and gets her angry and confused look. She strides over to GS who is speaking obsequiously into his cellphone. Joan of Arti righteously asks to see BBP. When GS refuses, Arti says it is to thank BBP and his family. Rangoli strides out and haughtily tells Arti her gratitude has been received and she could leave. But Arti starts her inquisition - how many bullets, where all was he wounded, was he being operated on, was he on a ventilator, had the bullets been removed? She calls some waiting reporters to join in on the inquisition party. Didn't they want to find out the truth? Maybe this fiasco was being staged because of the elections. Giridhar and Rangoli look uncomfortable while Arti looks extremely self righteous. The media horde descends on Rangoli asking her to let them see BBP. Rangoli tells the media that while she respected their queries, she did not want to respond to this rude upstart that BBP had tried to save by risking his own life. The media turns on Arti, accusing her of trying a cheap publicity stunt. Before she can respond, Sumitra comes with a worried look on her face and calls Arti away. Rangoli placates the media and leaves with a smirk on her face. In his ICU room, BBP is sipping some pale orange colored liquid as he watches the Daily Sansani which is broadcasting rallies in his support.
In an ICU room, the Tiwaris (with Bhavana and Krish) look through the door portal as Puja is gasping for breath. Doctors are trying electric paddles on her pelvis (😕) arrey please CVs do your research, the electric paddles are applied on the chest, this is so very tacky!!!
Precap: A doctor tells the Tiwaris that he had done everything possible for Puja, they should leave the rest to god. An evil looking BBP with his arm in a sling cast bids Puja goodbye through the ICU door port.
