Mayank 'against' Gunjan and Rachana proving Vihaan

The new promo of Zee TV's Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke (Shakuntalam Telefilms) has aroused quite a lot of curiosity. Well, Rachana (Mahima Makwana) and Gunjan (Roopal Tyagi) have finally bumped upon evidence in the form of a video that can prove Vihaan's (Nikkhil Chaddha) innocence in the drug racket case.

So what stops them from going ahead and helping Vihaan? Aah, their efforts hit a roadblock as Mayank (Ankit Gera) is completely against them helping Vihaan.

What's the reason behind this? Firstly, Mayank feels that his sister and wife should not get into major problems by helping out Vihaan who is caught with possession of drugs. So he is making sure that his family keeps away from falling into a deeper pit. Meanwhile, there is yet another reason behind Mayank's reaction.

Our source tells us that Mayank has received an ultimatum from his boss that he will go jobless if Vihaan is set out of the case. The reason is that Mayank's boss' son is the one who is involved in the drug racket case, and proving Vihaan's innocence will mean that the boss' son will get into trouble. Mayank who duty-bound towards his family holds the opinion that if Vihaan is innocent, he will somehow get out of the case and there is no need for his family to prove his innocence which will ultimately lead to him losing his job.

We hear that the creative team will be maintaining the 'thin line' in Mayank's character wherein though his attitude will be negative, he will not be portrayed as negative-minded.

In the coming episodes, Mayank will also be shown destroying the evidence that Rachana and Gunjan have with them, in order to save his job.
We tried contacting Nikkhil Chaddha but could not get through to him.

When contacted, Ankit Gera told us, "Mayank is trying to keep his family away from the mess. Mayank is practical in his approach, as he is unaware of the fact that Vihaan is innocent. He believes that if Vihaan is innocent, he will surely come out of the case, even without Rachana and Gunjan helping him."
