Who is a Behen ji??

A woman who wears traditional Indian clothes like Salwar kurta s and sarees instead of jeans and skirts.. A woman who prefer s tying up her hair rather than letting it down.. Someone who is shy and not a loud mouth.. Someone who does not go regularly to a beauty parlour... Someone who likes fasting. Someone who is scared of her parents.. Someone who carries a jhola and not a stylish bag..Someone who wears jootis instead of heels. Someone who oils their hair regularly...Someone who bends down to touch people s feet and says namaste instead of hugging and greeting'Hello"

Why cant you be attractive if you wear spects? Why cant you be physically appealing isf you have braces? Why do you need to apply lipstick, kohl mascara and blush to be 'Miss cool'. Why should my unmanageable frizzy hair be tamed before I earn compliments? Why cant I be a tomboy and expect the man I love to Love me back?? Why do I need to speak in 'Accent wala English' and only then you are impressed.

Why cant you love me for what I am? Why do you prefer a girl wearing jeans rather than a girl wearing Salwar Kurta. Even if i try to dress up you end making fun of me..

Why does Anjali from KKKH need a complete makeover so that Rahul falls for her?

Is nt there a single man out there who sees beyond the superficial perfectly threaded eyebrows and the short dresses ?? Do I need to ditch my glasses and wear contacts every time to draw attention to my eyes??

Does Love require me to be beautiful or Should I feel Beautiful because you love me...

This is the problem with the new hip culture. Making fun of simple people as behenjis.
And then the makeover to make the heroine more desirable like Jassi's makeover in Jassi jaisi koi nahin. I loved the before makeover Jassi more than the after,

The same hip culture sometimes takes them to drug culture and rave parties.

So a balance has to be struck.

Super Topic.

👏👏👏 Great post vibz
They say beauty is skin deep but human beings the greatest creation of god are in turn very judgmental.😡
I would not say only men but women too belong in the judgmental category😕
We are so materialistic and so blindly follow that somebody who dares to stand out by being himself or herself without any pretence is ridiculed😕
Why is that people just happen to see a well made up face, a striking trousseau , a well manicured hand and pedicured feet.

Why is a person judged so superficially. Nothing beyond that😡
I have a question why is being a plain Jane so hurting or humiliating?????? . You are different from the regular so why not be proud of it rather than being ashamed

Exactly I hated Jassi (the Show).. Atleast in Ugly betty she had guys who loved her how she was!! I liked the pre make over Jassi with her fringe.

About the rave parties you need to watch Gumraah lots of real life crime stories eg a plum girl jealous of her slim sister ends up murdering her.

I will give you a simple example there was a party at my house and I wore Salwar kurta someone came up to me and said Why am i dresses like this? I should have worn jeans. 😲 So now I cant even dress the way I want.

Good post vibz.
It is true. People's perspective about a person first depends on their look and accent rather than their character.

In short I will want to tell that:
Dil ko dekho, Chehra na dekho, Chehre ne lakho ko luta,
Dil sachcha Chehra jutha...

I think beauty is all about what makes someone comfortable. If they want to wear shalwar kameez, then that's their choice. Just like if they feel better in jeans. Being beautiful isn't about what someone wears. It's about who they are, how they carry themselves. If someone is trying to wear jeans and they don't feel comfortable in it, then it's going to be visible and what guy will be drawn to their self-consciousness?
But of course that is the ideal world. And in the time we live in, it's highly rare to find people who don't see beauty as more than skin deep. However beauty really is more than just appearance. Appearance is nothing without a beautiful personality. A "behen-ji" can be a behen–ji and be considered beautiful just like someone in jeans will be. But what Rachna really lacks is self-confidence. She needs to learn to hold her head up high and stand up for herself- stop being this meek little girl who runs to her "mummy" and bawls her eyes out at the drop of a pin. I'm not saying she needs to be feisty like Gunjan, but she does need to get comfortable in her own skin, stop letting those behenji comments get to her, let her believe that behenji or not, she is who she is and she needs to love herself before anyone can.
One can wear glasses, braces and not the prettiest clothes. As long as they are strong and believe in themselves, then that's beauty- love oneself first, know one's true worth, before letting one fool them into thinking they're worth any less.
