What is shown in the serial is a example of what truly does take place in society.
It is very sad but thats the truth...
When i go to my home country, Bangladesh, i see ALOT of adverts for lightning products, fair and lovely, soaps which make yopur skin white and many more. It indirectly makes girls feel like they HAVE to be fair in order to be pretty and girls who are fair feel superior to those who are dark..
Its a shame beauty is measured these days by skin colour, when in fact i have seen some of the most prettiest girls who are dark. I mean, white people, love to be dark and tanned, but you get people from the indian sub-continent who are dying to become fair...
Even in the UK, the asian boys mostly are crazy over girls who are fair or english girls who are white and have blond hair...
There is a lot of truth to this storyline and a lot of people truly do suffer like Ragini...
In my family, i am the darkest than all my sisters, and some of my cousins even say to me that you should use fair and lovely to go fair, and dont stay in the sun too much LOL...and i am not even dark..I am a creamy brown colour LOL..but because my sisters are really fair, they always wonder where i went wrong!! I have even been told to wash my face more! 😆😆😆 Hahah
Ah society eh!....
