Week of November 7th

Ranvir is heartbroken when Ragini tells him she is getting engaged. Vinu escapes from the cops and goes into hiding in his own house. He convinces his family that he only wants to prove his innocence and they all stand together to support him. Avni tricks Malti into blurting out Vinu's whereabouts and then sends the cops to the Sharma's to accost him. The cops arrive when Shishir and Ragi's engagement rasm was abt to begin. Vinu surrenders and is taken away, while Malti finally realizes that Avni tricked her. Mamaji is glad when Shishir's family don't back off from this rishta. Ranvir goes to the police station to get bail for Vinu but couldn't. The Sharma family come together to pitch in money for the bail, but due to lawyers' strike they too couldn't get the bail. Vasu offers to help Vinu, but with a condition attached that Ragini should be married off soon. Mamaji sends her away and refuses any help from her. Ranvir realizes that it's finally over b/w him and Ragini when she sends the cell phone, that he gifted her, back to him.

Due to producer's strike, no episodes aired for a month

Week of December 5th

Alekh overhears Navin and Avni talking abt how they trapped Vinu. On his insistence, Ranvir decides to probe further into this and he learns the truth that Navin is behind all this. Ranvir comes to mamaji's house with the client who confessed everything abt navin, when Ragini-Shishir were abt to exchange rings. The engagement is halted momentarily and mamaji goes to get Vinu back home, but not b4 he goes to Rajvansh house to give Vasu a earful abt her conniving family. Vinu is brought back home and everyone is grateful to Ranvir. Just b4 the engagement is abt to restart, Ragini imagines Shishir to be Ranvir and pours her heart out to him, but then realizes what she did. Ragini then comes clean with him that Ranvir is her past. Outside, in the presence of the whole family when the engagement is abt to begin, Shishir shocks everyone when he tells Ragini that he cannot go ahead with this engagement.

Week of December 12th

Shishir-Ragini engagement is called off and this leaves Mamiji distraught and angry. Her anger breaks all bounds when she catches Ragini sneaking home after meeting with Ranvir. Mamaji suggests that they call the Rajvanshs' over to talk abt Ranvir-Ragini rishta. Mamiji is evidently upset with this whole turn of events and refuses to give her support in this rishta which she is sure is a doomed one for Ragini. Mamaji assures Ragini that he will handle her mother and she not worry abt it. Malti is ecstatic for Ragini. Ranvir and his family are notified and this sends him in fit of happiness and joy. Alekh is happy to see Sadhna happy and smiling and they share a very touching moment. The whole family is joyous for Ranvir except Vasu who can't believe this is happening. She refuses to come with them to the Sharma's and decides to go to a cultural festival instead.

Vasu takes Ragi shopping. There she stands up for Ragi when a storekeeper humiliates her. Alekh is very happy with Vasu. Avni and Navin work on getting the family's trust back. Avni goes to visit Ragi. Malti warns Ragi to be wary of Avni. Ranvir and Ragi romance over phone. The Sharmas' and the Rajvanshs' join together for a picnic at the Rajvansh farmhouse and bond during that time. Ranvir Ragini grow closer while Alekh expresses his fondness towards Sadhna with a kiss.

Week of January 16^th to January 23^rd 2009

The wedding celebrations begin with haldi rasm where both the ladki wale and the ladke wale have their haldi rasms done in their respective houses. Vasu's friend, Sheetal from US, creates havoc at the Sharma house when she arrives there with the Rajvanshs' for the haldi rasm. She humiliates Ragi abt her looks, but Ranvir comes there and stands up for her. The Sharmas' are floored seeing Ranvir's love for Ragi. Sheetal leaves insulted and Vasu faces the brunt of that from her friends who refuse to attend the wedding accusing Vasu of not standing up for Sheetal. While Vasu remains worried abt the marriage, Kaushi too is scared for Ragi's future at the Rajvanshs'. Seeing Vasu still skeptical towards accepting Ragi, Ambika speaks out on Ragi's behalf, which is not taken well by Vasu. Satyen overhears Vasu going off on Ambika, and blasts her for never acknowledging the fact that Ambika is her older sister and disrespecting her time and again. Kaushi walks in right then and is spell bound after hearing the truth that Vasu and Ambika are sisters. She rushes to Mamaji and shares with him her fear abt marrying off Ragi into a family where ppl are judged and weighed as per their color. But mamaji reassures her that Sadi will take good care of Ragi. But Kaushi remains unconvinced. Old memories come flooding back to Vasu abt the time when Ambika came to the Rajvanshs' as Satyen's bride. Sadi is left in shock after she learns the truth abt Ambika and Vasu. Ambika pleads with her to never let her love for Ragi ever falter cuz of her higher position in the family as the badi bahu, and Sadi assures her that. The Rajvanshs' arrive for Ragini's sangeet and mehendi at the Sharmas'. Both the families enjoy this joyous occasion when later Ranvir too arrives, but in a woman's disguise since he is told to stay away, being the groom. But after his disguise is revealed, he comes in a sherwani and joins in the sangeet.

Summary for the week of Feb 13th, 20th and 27th '09

Mamiji is upset when Sadhna and Alekh come with Ragvir for the pakphere which Sadi senses. Worried at what the guests at the reception wud think of Ragi, Vasu cancels the reception and explains to the family that she is doing this so that Ragvir do not have to go thru ppl's taunts. Everyone agrees w/Vasu but Indrajit is upset when he finds Vasu lying to Ranvir that she has to go to Delhi for some worthy cause, so that Ranvir himself cancels the reception. But in return, Vasu arranges honeymoon tickets for Ragvir to Kerala. Avni calls up Malti and instigates her that Vasu cancelled the reception cuz she is ashamed to show Ragi as her bahu. Malti is convinced she is lying when Vasu comes to the Sharmas to tell them of the cancellation. Whe Alekh learns abt 'honeymoons', he insists that they should go w/ Ragvir for a honeymoon too. When Ragvir urges everyone to let Alekh and Sadi join them, they give in and the foursome leave for their honeymoon. Mami and Nani are irritated to see that Salekh are joining Ragvir. The foursome arrive at their resort in Kerala and settle in. Ragvir have a romantic suhaagraat and are very happy. But when Ragvir realize that Sadi is missing out on the love of a husband, they feel guilty and vow to bring Salekh closer. At the resort, Alekh throws a tantrum when Sadi does not allow him to always be with Ragvir, but Sadhna gets his mind off of it. Navin is angry that Vinu is given an equal position as him at the office and is determined to set Vinu is his rightful place. Avni calls Malti to convince her of Vasu's lie and talks to Vasu aloud so that Malti hears and realizes everything. Mami is upset when she sees that Vasu has mysteriously already returned from Delhi. There, Alekh goes hyper seeing red roses and things get worse when he wanders away and gets lost in the middle of nowhere while Sadi and Ragvir frantically search for him.

Summary for the week of March 6^th '09, and week of March 13^th '09

Sadhna is beyond herself worried sick for Alekh, but the very next morning she is overjoyed in being reunited with him w/ the help of a local couple who took him in for the night and helped him locate Sadhna. They spend their last day in Kerala with the couple and then return home. On their return, Vasu senses a change in Alekh when he appears nervous and scared w/her, the way he used to be, and learns what happened on their trip. Sadi is blamed for it all. Mamaji and Kaushi come to visit Ragi. She shares her joys w/ her mom, but is devastated when Kaushi reveals to her abt Vasu's lies and how she is ashamed to call Ragi, her bahu. Ranvir, who happens to overhear this, confronts Vasu and she lies again that she did go to Delhi but returned earlier than expected. In the hopes to get all the attention, Malti desires to get pregnant b4 Ragi does, but is sad when Vinu doesn't co-operate. On pay-day, she gets furious when Vinu hands the salary to Kaushi and gives her just a little money from there. At the Rajvanshs', Avni doesn't miss any chance in humiliating Ragi. Alekh drops a necklace he got for Sadi on the roof and almost falls off trying to retrieve it.

Summary for the week of March 20th '09, and week of March 27th '09

Vasu goes off on Sadhna for being careless with Alekh. On Holi, the Rajvanshs and Sharmas meet and celebrate. A mysterious hand unlocks an old storeroom, where Alekh wanders off into and goes hyper seeing his dadaji's portrait. Sadhna's necklace is placed in the storeroom later by the same hand, but when Vasu and Ranvir go to check the storeroom out... they also find Indrajit's ring which assures Vasu that there is some1 in the house trying to instigate Alekh. Mamaji is stunned seeing Alekh's dadaji's pic, and meets with Sadi-Alekh in the park to try and dig deeper into Alekh's past. Ranvir is all set to take Alekh to Delhi to meet with a doctor. The Sharmas arrange for a puja when they realize Malti is pregnant, but things turn awkward when Alekh questions about the child Malti is going to bring to the family.
