I dont think Khushi's mature smile or appreciation was there because she is low in self confidence. That is a very ignorant view of things I believe ... rather she was happy that her sister won, which will makeher sister happy - and she knows that this will make Ragini and Anmol happy ... also Alekh happy ... everyone happy ... so she is happy. Her happyness was never her own, just like everything else for her is not exclusively hers ... neither does she have any claim over them.
The only one was Alekh, if Khushi can get his love (fatherly) ... then perhaps that would be her greatest award. She is just not the ordinary child ...

This will become evident in future ... keep watching.

thtss why I like how they are portraying Kavya..getting into trouble, copying elders..
They should show Tashi doing innocent stuff ...believing in magic, being afraid of monsters under beds /dark corners..
instead what do they show..a kid burdened by an insane parent..and the other facing color prejudice

Exactly my point.Let them show how they are influenced by different things and how it can affect the kids. But they are going into deeper matters are they are portraying the kids just like they did the foursome.Same thing played by younger genre.
It feels like they have reserved Khushi to play the kids who have unstable parenting and all the bad ways it can affect the kids +all the noble behavior Sadhana had(who was portrayed too good already)
Tamanna, a girl with everything including amazing confidence, a dad who not even her real but so perfectly fills in her dads role but they put in this color issue is blown out of proportion!!!!
Give the kids a break
Bidaai has always ignored the obvious and went for an unusual story line.If they had dealt with normal things than this leap would not have happened so shown in the first place.

Ok there is not use in worry so much ..I guess.😕

But compared to her mom, she has Ragini to love her , Rajvansh family to love her.Her dad is with her though he is not a full fledged dad.Today he even thought her how to paint.Look at Alekh he has the talent to paint though he is mentally unstable.
And aslo things like painting should not need any confidence.
I am totally puzzled about the way Khushii is characterized.</font>

She has loving grand parents,Masima , I don't know something missing?
Too much sheltered life also is cause it sometimes. But she is an adorable kid hopefully cts will give her a happy childhood with lots of love and +ve influence and encouragement from everyone around her.

Oh yeah darn something sure is missing Tamushi ... guess what!!! ...
Plus, she is not under-confident. She is mature and very bright hearted person. In this world of growing consumerism - where being a part of the rat-race is the name of the game ... Horlicks kids or else! ... A person with a more spiritualistic outlook towards life is frowned upon.

I too feel something missing, I should have been more clear. Loss of mother and having not normal father may be some way affect her personality, hopefully evryone around her provide the best upbringing full of love ,sense of security, encouragements.

may be this will help tammy to digest the fairy thing and truely cheers for khushi... I think khushi wanted to win for her dad ( didn"t watch it, just guessing) but she didnt , hence she's happy for tammy, so tammy who wanted to be the fairy, will be happy for khushi who gets the part... I think this painting competition has both aim, showing a moment between alekh and khushi, and making tammy understand

No matter what everyone gives ... the sense of security with a sane set of alive parents is something different.

As for Khushi's confidence. I think its there .. she is just a girl of 7 or 8 with a different set of views on life. She is not in competition with anyone ... she does not intend to defeat or win against anyone. She is at peace with herself and her surroundings, and that is what matters.

She is polite, and she has a bright heart in which she carries love for all. Her basic nature seems to be of a person who "does not expect too much". This is not bad if we move away from the Aggressively Consumeristic Social POV these days ... this is a very welcoming and refreshing way of looking at things.

She is educating herself ... and her life full of challenges will surely give her something in return aswell ... and that is DEVOTION AND PATIENCE.

The kid is just more patient than others ... and that is because of a number of factors ... not just one of two or a dozen ...

Lets be fare on her personality and not just jump into a conclusion while trying to measure everyone with the same tools ... cuz that would be highly impractical and very foolish.

Some kids are competitive by nature and some want to excel to make their parents proud. Khushi has no such motivation. Once Alekh starts encouraging her, she will want to prove the best for her dad.
As for the competition, it was for Alekh-Khushi bonding and Vasu getting maha upset seeing Anmol's surname on Tammy's certificate, Tammy had to win for that. lol Tammy is an ace student, so no surprises there.

Khushi is a sweet girl, she was just happy for her sister. She never cared for the competition anyways, she just wants her fathers love.

As long as the girls are happy, is there even an issue ? lol Just want to see them happy and loved.

Anu, what I was trying to say is Khushi is too good/ mature for an 8yr old ,coz' she could share her sister's happiness without much fuss.
I can tell you most of the 8 year olds(95%) are not like that.I know this because I am mom of an 8 yr old and do lots of volunteer work in my daughter's school. They will eventually accept it and learn to appreciate others like Tammy is still yet to develop the quality;like a normal 8yr old.

The stages of cognitive development goes like this...
EGOCENTRIC STAGE:3-5/7 yrs-Kids are egocentric, everything starts with me, I and myself.
CONCRETE STAGE:5/7-9/11yrs is when kids start reasoning things/ logical thinking develop.Like for example in this instance, the kid who competes and does not win will wonder and think the cause of the results.Like was I good or bad.
FORMAL OPERATIONS,Final stage where kids get the so called maturity, they can think theoretically and logically in more than 1 way.Unfortunately not every human being achieves/reaches this last stage.
This is the stage Khushi is shown in.
And I want the Cts to give us the joys of Khushi's childhood too, not just maturity. And this is what I am trying to convey here.
