Chapter 23

The bus comes to a stop, near a dhaba. Everyone comes out of the bus one by one. Ranvir steps out of the bus, and stands by the door, as Ragini was about to step out, she slips and falls on top of Ranvir. Ranvir falls on his stomach, he ends up with dirt on his face and clothes 😆. Ranvir is irritated and says "Eh, billi, mere upar se uth." Ragini quickly gets up after struggling. Ranvir gets up, and Ragini sees his face, he giggles. Ranvir says "Kya hai?" Sniha looks at Ranvir's face and laughs aswell. Ranvir is confused and he looks the other way, and everyone sees that ranvir has dirt on his face, and they all laugh out loud. Ranvir doesn't have any idea. Ragini says "Ranvir tumhara face." Ranvir says "Kya?" Ragini lightly brushes a little bit of dirt with her finger, and shows it to ranvir. Ranvir wipes his face and sees that his hand is full with dirt. He says "YUCK! Yeh sab tumhari wajah se hua hai billi" Ragini says "Meri wajah se? Excuse me, mera paer phisal gaya tha." Ranvir says "Koi paer nahin phisla tha tumhara, tum jaan bhuj kar mujhpar giri." Ragini says "Tum paagal hogaye ho." Ranvir says "Haan haan, ab toh tum yeh hi bologi na." Ragini sighs in anger and looks the other way, she finds a hose near a dhaba. She quickly gets the hose and brings it to Ranvir. Ragini says "Lo isse apna muh dho lo" Ranvir looks at the hose and says "Haan ab tum toh kahogi ki iss paani se apna muh dho lo. Taaki mujhe infection ho jaaye." Ragini sighs in anger and Ranvir takes the hose and washes his face. His hair is all wet along with his clothes. Ranvir puts down the hose and says "Yeh dekho. Mere yeh kapde geele ho gaye hain. Ab main pehnoo kya?" Ragini sees that, there is still some dirt on ranvir's face. Ragini slowly moves her hand forward and brushes her hand on ranvir's face. Ranvir is just watching her. Ragini moves her hand away and shows it to ranvir. Ranvir looks at her hand and says "haan, pata hai mujhe, yeh aaj kal ka fashion hai. Tumhe nahi pata." Ragini looks at him with curiosity, and then nods with a smile. Ranvir says "Lekin ab main kya pehnoonga? Aise raha phir toh guaranteed pneumonia ho jaayega." Ragini says "Ek second" Ragini goes to her bag and takes out a black shawl and gives it to ranvir. Ranvir looks at ragini. Ragini says "Lelo, aage jaake kisi shop se naye kapde le lena." Ranvir takes the shawl from ragini and wraps it around himself. Ragini walks away to sit on one of the tables at the dhaba, while ranvir just watches her go.

Saadhna comes out of the shower, drying her hair with a towel. She sits in front of the mirror, and begins to brush her hair with her fingers. Malti enters saadhna's room. Malti says "saadhna." Saadhna turns around and says "Arrey bhabi aap? Aaiye." Malti enters saadhna's room and says "Saadhna, tu aaj kya kar rahi hai?" Saadhna says "bhabi abhi tak toh kuch nahi." Malti says "Toh phir mere saath shopping chalegi?" Saadhna thinks for a while and then agrees to go with Malti.

Aalekh is sleeping. Vasu walks past aalekh's room, she notices that aalekh has come back. She says "Aalekh? Itni jaldi? Yeh toh aaj shaam ko aane waala tha." She goes to check in on aalekh, who is in a deep sleep. She chose not to disturb him, and let him sleep.

Saadhna is at a mall with Malti. Malti is looking for some saree's for herself. Saadhna is helping her choose. Malti says "Arrey saadhna, tu bhi apne liye kuch achi si saadiya khareedle." Saadhna says "Bhabi...main...aur saree?" Malti says "arrey lelo, achi lagogi." Malti picks out a nice orange colored saree for her that has a beautiful border with silver embellishments and small silver stones overall. Malti says "Saadhna yeh bohut achi hai. Tujhpar bohut achi lagegi." Saadhna looks at the saree. Malti says "Try kar" Saadhna walks to the mirror and tries the saree on her. She is looking exceptionally beautiful. She sees Aalekh looking at her throught the mirror. Aalekh indicates her that she is looking beautiful. Saadhna smiles shyly and looks down. When she looks back up, aalekh isn't there; saadhna turns around and finds no aalekh. She gets into thoughts. Malti says "Dekha, maine kaha than a ki tujhpe yeh saree bohut achi lagegi." Saadhna looks at malti and smiles and says "Haan bhabi. Bohut achi hai" Malti says "Toh theek hai, main isse bhi pack karwadeti hoon." Malti takes the saree of her and gives it to on of the employees. Saadhna is still thinking if aalekh was really there or not. "SAADHNA" calls out a voice. Saadhna looks up and says "Aayi bhabi." Saadhna walks over to malti. Malti payes the bill and they both leave. Malti and saadhna are roaming around the mall. Malti says "Arrey mujhe toh bohut bhook lag rahi hai. Chal saadhna kahin baith ke kuch khaate hain." Saadhna nods. The roam around looking for a caf. Saadhna comes across a jewellery shop, and comes to an immediate stop. Malti is still walking; she notices that saadhna isn't with her. She looks back and finds saadhna standing in front of a jewellery shop. Malti calls out to saadhna, saadhna tells malti to go and sit in the caf, and she'll be back. Malti agrees. Saadhna goes inside the shop, and begins to check out some Watches for Aalekh. She selects a nice black Armani watch and asks the employee to pack it for her.

Malti is waiting for saadhna at the Caf. "Yeh Saadhna kahaan reh gayi?" a Waiter comes and asks her what she'd like to order. Malti says she is waiting for someone, she'll order later. The waiter leaves. Saadhna comes and sits on Malti's table. Malti asks saadhna where she was. Saadhana says "Bhabi woh main ek gift lene gayi thi." Malti says "Gift? Kiske liye?" saadhna shyly replies "Aalekh ke liye." Malti teases Saadhna, and saadhna tells her to stop teasing her.

Ranvir is sitting on a table and in deep thoughts. Raj asks "arrey ranvir tum kuch kha kyun nahi rahe ho?" Ranvir looks at raj and then back at his plate and then back at raj and says "Mujhe bhook nahi hai." Ranvir gets up from the table and walks off. He is standing near a cliff, looking as far as he can see into the beautiful valleys. He thinks "Yeh kya ho raha hai mujhe? Jab se main ragini se mila hoon, ussi ke baare mein sochta hoon! Kyun? Kyun main usse bhula nahin paa raha? Kya hogaya hai mujhe?" The bus is about to leave, Ragini is about to board the bus, but she sees Ranvir standing alone at the edge. She calls out to ranvir but he is too far. She runs to him as she calls out "RANVIR" Ranvir turns around and sees ragini running towards him. Ragini comes to a stop, she is breathing heavily. Ranvir just watches her with lovng eyes "tum yahaan kya kar rahe ho?...wahaan sab tumhara wait kar rahe hai." says Ragini. Ranvir doesn't reply. Ragini says "Ranvir tum paagal ho kya? Ek toh itni thand hai, aur upar se tum yahaan aake khade ho jahaan hawa iti tez hawaa chal rahi hai. tum bimaar ho jaaoge. Chalo wahaan sab humara intezaar kar rahe hain." Ranvir keeps curiouslylooking at ragini. Ragini gives up after a while, so she decides to pull him to the bus, so she grabs his hand and pulls him to the bus.

Aalekh wakes up, he checks the time, it's 2:30. He goes downstairs wearing his lose white pyjamas with a yellow singlet. Vasu is sitting on the couch watching TV. Aalekh geets vasu, vasu turns around and greets him. Aalekh sits next to vasu. Vasu asks "Kya baat hai aalekh tum mumbai se waapis jaldi aagaye. Tum toh aaj shaam ko aane waale the na?" Aalekh says "Haan mom, lekin woh canada se jo delegations aaye huye the unhone na kal hi meeting fix kardi. Toh kal main meeting attend karke, shaam ki flight se delhi waapis aagaya." Vasu says "Lekin kal raat ko humne toh tumhe aate huye nahi dekha." Aalekh realises what he just said and he thinks of an answer. He hesitates "ma...ma main woh... raat ko bohut late aaya tha. Aap so rahi thi." Vasu nods and says "Acha" vasu gets a phone call. She answers the phone and says "Ji...aaj hai? Humein laga ki woh kal hai...ji theek hai hum aapke aane tak tayaar rahenge...waise aap aa kab rahe hain?...theek hai. Okay. Hum phone rakhte hain."

Vasu hangs the phone. "Kiska phone tha?" asks Aalekh. "Tumhare dad ka phone tha. Humein aaj verma uncle ke ghar jaana hai. " Aalekh asks "Kyun?" Vasu says "arrey unke aaj jaagran hai. Tum chaloge?" Aalekh gets excited but he tries to cover it up. "uhhh…nahi ma aap jao. Mujhe kuch office ka kaam karna hai. Waise aap kitne baje nikal rahe ho?" asks aalekh. Vasu says "Bas 1 ghante tak nikalna hoga humein. Tumhare dad abhi aate hi honge. Acha hum tayaar hokar aate hain." Vasu leaves and aalekh smiles mischievously. He takes his phone out from his pocket and sms' saadhna to come to the Rajvansh mansion at 6

Saadhna and malti return from shopping. Saadhna says "Bhabi main toh bohut thak gayi hoon." Malti says "le tu itne mein hi thak gayi? Arre abhi toh shaadi ki shopping baaki hai. Tab tera kya haal hoga?" Saadhna smiles shyly and says "Kya bhabi. Aap bhi na" malti laughs. Saadhna's phone rings. She answers her phone it was regarding a meeting. Saadhna informs the receptionist to confirm the meeting, and hangs up. She notices one message, it's aalekh's sms. She looks at the time and sees that it's 5, she puts her hand on her head and says "arrey baap re, 5 toh yahi baj gaye. Bhabi main aapse baad mein baat karti hoon." Saadhna rushes to her room to freshen up. Saadhna wear a white churidaar, the kurti has thin straps. Saadhna quickly brushes her hair, and rushes her makeup. Saadhna quickly puts her shows on and collects her white hand bag and rushes out the door. She realises she has left the gift in her room, so she rushes back and collects the gift and rushes to her car.

"Achoo!" sneezes ranvir. Ragini looks at ranvir. "Achoo...A...A...Achoo!" sneezes ranvir as he walks in the resort. Ragini goes to her room, and goes through her bag and takes out a kit that contains all kind of medicines. Ragini looks at it and says "mom aapki yeh dawaiyan kisi ke kaam toh aayi" Ragini leaves. "Achoo" continues sneezing. "Knock Knock" someone knocks on the door. Ranvir walks to the door sneezing. He opens the door and sees Ragini standing there with a bottle and a spoon. Ranir looks at ragini. Ragini says "Dawaai lekar aayi hoon...tumhare liye. Warna tum bimaar ho jaoge. Lo" Ranvir looks on at the medicine bottle and makes a face. Ragini looks at him and says "let me guess. Tumhe medicines ache nahi lagte." Ranvir looks at ragini and says "Well not really." Ragini rolls her eyes and says "Well agar tum yeh dawah nahi logey toh tum bimaar ho jaoge..." "Achoo" sneezes Ranvir. "...well hogaye ho." Says ragini. Ragini pushes her way into Ranvir's room, dragging ranvir along. She makes him sit on the bed and pours some medicine in to the spoon and says "yeh lo peeyo isse.' Ranvir makes a face and looks away. Ragini says "Arrey yeh dawah kadwi nahi hai. Meethi hai.' Ranvir says 'mujhe nahi peeni.' Ragini says "Ranvir. Bachpana chodo aur yeh dawah peeyo abhi.' Ranvir looks at Ragini and says "tumhe tini parwah kyun hai?' Ragini thinks for a while and says "Kyunki jab hum jungle mein kho gaye the, toh tumne mujhe thand se bachaya. Ab meri bhi kuch zimedaari banti hai na. kyunki yeh haalat tumhari meri wajah se toh huyi hai." Ranvir just looks on at Ragini. "Toh mr Ranvir Rajvansh, main nahi chahungi ki koi meri wajah se bimaar ho jaaye." Ranvir doesn't say anything. He just looks on at ragini. Ragini rolls her eyes and says 'Dekho, agar tum yeh dawah nahi peeyoge, toh tumhe pneumonia ho jaayega. Aur agar tumhe pneumonia hogaya toh tum mar jaoge. Agar tum mar gaye toh tumhare bhaiya mujhse kahenge ki Ragini...tumne mere bhai ko maar daala" Ranvir laughs and so does ragini. She says 'Lo' Ragini feeds ranvir the medicine. Ranvir makes a weird face and says 'Tumne toh kaha tha yeh meethi hai.' Ragini says 'woh toh aise hi kaha tha" Ranvir looks at ragini weirdly. Ragini giggles and says "Ab main chalti hoon. Raat ko soney se pehle yeh dawah phir se pee lena." She puts the medicine on his side table and leaves. Ranvir falls backward on the bed and smiles. He says "Ranvir soney se pehle yeh dawah pee lena." Ranvir laughs cutely.

Saadhna reaches Rajvansh Mansion. She knocks on the door, and notices that the door is open. She slightly opens the door and walks in. A spotlight hits saadhna. She covers her eyes with her hand as the light is too strong saadhna looks at the floor and sees there's a path made out of rose petals, that lead inside to the hall. Saadhna smiles and calls out to Aalekh as she looks around. The spotlight follows her as she walks. Saadhna says "Aalekh what is this?" as soon as Saadhna steps into the hall, the lights turn on. And saadhna is surprised to see the hall beautifully decorated with roses and candles.
