Dear Apux,
Very well said indeed.👏👏 If you remember, Vasu was very angry and hurt with those people who called Alekh "pagal" at a party . She vowed to all those people that she would get a beautiful wife for his son before long . And sure enough she did. She got Sadhana.
And funnily enough she expected Sadi to be full of undying gratitude for it. Of course Sadi loves Alekh now but at the beginning why should any sane girl want to marry a mentally unstable person on her own volition? But sadi did it thinking that vasu will keep her part of the bargain. It was Sadi who was taken for a ride by vasu and not the other way round. Although, Vasu acts as if Sadi has tricked her in some way. Also, the way she came to mamaji's house and insulted them spoke about her crudeness, which was much akin to a fishwife rather than of the eldest wife of the rajvansh house. She hurt mamiji in much the same way that those people had hurt her when they said that her son was mad. Those people had hurt a mother and vasu was selfish enough to hurt another mother, namely mamiji, by insulting ragi and saying that they tried to foist a "kali badsoorut ladki" on her jewel-like son, ranvir.
It is true that vasu is not an outright rotten character but she is someone that many of us come across in normal everday life in some form or the other ----- some bit of goodness mixed with a huge dollop of selfishness, vanity, ego and self-centredness. Qualities, which are good enough to poison any environment or situation. Without being evil she can bring about deep unhappiness in those around her. She is therefore evil without being evil.

You really hit it right on the nail! Vasu is such a hypocrite....it is as if she is only person that can feel hurt, pain, and betrayal....if anything, having a son like Alekh, she should understand how Mamiji feels....but no, if she ever gets out of Vasu World, maybe then she can feel the pain of others (which is quite similar to hers)

I have been saying it for soooooo long. I think Vasu is a very human and good person. She has been turned into a sour person by the fact that she is in an unhappy marriage. I think because of the fact she had a "convenience" marriage which may have been forced upon her, and she has been in that rich snobby environment all her life so naturally she has an inflated ego. Most aristocrats do. None would want a bahu like Ragini for their only sane son so in my view Vasu isnt doing anything different. It is the same mentality that all rich snobs have. I know Vasu is embroiled in a bitter living and she is now not able to trust anybody. I feel that she is a very kind and sensitive person otherwise. She loves her children very much and the reason she couldnt watch her two sons favour Sadhna over her is that she feels she only lives for her children. They are her only life. Vasu thinks she is protecting Ranveer.

Vasu is not that much Evil but she is very egoistic person who thinkks whatever she does and whatever she decides is always right and people who oppose her or go against her are wrong. That ego of her will completely get bursted when Ranvir will Marry Ragini and bring her to Rajvansh house as her Bahu

vasu is evil if she was nice she would notice that ranvir loves ragini more than anything and if she wanted him to be happy she would inisist on him being with ragini .she alwayz says tht she wants him to be happy but by making him get further and further away from ranvir she is making him very unhappy.he even sed that he cant live without her!
open ur eyes vasu!!!!
