Part 3

The phone rang in Randhir's cabin breaking his chain of thoughts...he hears his Uncle Joe's voice in the other end..."Uncle Joe... where have u been??...i was so worried abt u...i called u so many times but u did not respond...any news abt Rohan??"..."Randhir i am coming now and will tell u everything"...Randhir saw that the phone has been disconnected...a worried shadow crossed his face...he was concerned for his Uncle Joe...since his son and daughter-in-law died he was attached to his Grandson Rohan very much...though he considered Randhir as his own son too...but Randhir knew Rohan was everything for his Uncle Joe ...and now for 2 weeks Rohan is missing...Randhir saw Rohan as his own brother and loved him very much...when Uncle Joe told him the news he was in London for some work...he could do nothing to help Uncle Joe to find Rohan...thinking that Randhir's eyes began to sting...when he first heard the news he could not sleep that night...he kept calling his father and Uncle Joe...both had gone to the police station to write a missing report against Rohan...when he returned from London yesterday he straight went to Uncle Joe's house...he had seen Uncle Joe like that only once in his life when Rohan's parents had died...he looked like a nervous wreck...he was looking like an old man who had lost everything in his life...seeing Randhir he could not control his tears...he had broken down...Randhir had consoled him and stayed with him that day and had pledged to do whatever he can to find Rohan...in the morning when Randhir woke up he could not find Uncle Joe in his house...he was already late for his office since it was 9:00 AM already ...so he thought he would call up Uncle Joe on the way to office...may be he had gone for a walk...Randhir was worried abt Uncle Joe the whole day since despite calling him on his cell for numerous time he could not get through him...he even called all the places he could thought of where his Uncle might have gone but there was no success...after that he had to put his worries back because of the work in office...and now Uncle has called him giving only a mysterious one liner..."i am coming"...Randhir knew his uncle must have gone somewhere looking for Rohan...he had told his uncle that he would go to one of his friends who is an investigator to get some help in the case...Randhir sighed...he knew Uncle cannot be that patient or may be ...just may be he had some news abt Rohan...Randhir felt hopeful now.

The door of Randhir's cabin opened suddenly...he looked up and saw his Uncle Joe entering the cabin.

It was almost 2 hrs since Kunal had left Sanyukta's office...Sanyukta still cant get out of her mind the unusual meeting she had with him...she recapitulated the meeting with Kunal...Kunal had a very grateful expression on his face when she said that she will help him... Sanyukta spoke to Kunal after sometime..."Sir can u please tell me how and when your Grandson went missing?"...Kunal after thinking a bit said "Rohan said that he was going for a coaching class at 5:00 pm ...it was tuesday ...he usually comes back between 7:30 to 8:00 pm...i waited for him till 10:00 that day but he did not come home...thats when i called the police "...Sanyu said" who else are there in your family?...your son, daughter ?"...Kunal said" my son and daughter-in-law died in a car accident when Rohan was 2 years old...from then on i looked after him...there was nanny who used to look after him when he was young but she left after Rohan turned 13"...Sanyu looked surprised...she said" but just a few moment ago u said that your 'Son' was responsible for the new deal your company got??"...Kunal said "He is the son of my friend and business partner Harsh...his name is Randhir Singh Shekhawat...and he is like a son to me and he was also very close to Rohan"...Sanyu nodded and then asked " do u have any family feud with anyone...anyone who who would harm Rohan"...Kunal remained quiet for sometime and then said no ...Sanyu said "Sir...did the police tell u when they will handover Rohan's body to u??...and when will they release the post-mortem reports??"...Kunal said "They will give us the body tomorrow and i did not ask them abt the reports"...Sanyu said "Its fine sir...i will call them up and and ask them...we can discuss this case only after the reports comes out...and please can u give me a list of your close relatives and friends with their phone numbers...specially those with whom Rohan was close "...Kunal scribbled some names and numbers on a paper and gave it to Sanyukta and said "i will take leave then"...Sanyukta took the paper and said "Thank you sir...i will call u soon ...may be i will come to your office for the next meeting"...Kunal left the cabin ...and since then Sanyukta was thinking abt the case...she looked at the piece of paper Kunal had given her...one name caught her eyes "Randhir Singh Shekhawat"...Kunal said Rohan was very close to him...may be he will know something abt Rohan that Kunal did not know...she will have to call him up...but not now...before that she will have to call up the police station and will also have to talk to Kaustuki abt the case.

Randhir looked at Kunal incredulously ..."Uncle Joe...u could not wake me up in the morning when u got the phone call from the police station??...how could u just go yourself to identify Rohan's body??...u know u are not well"...Kunal looked down looking like a small boy who is being scolded for being naughty by his father...Kunal knew Randhir would get angry with him the moment he had heard Randhir's voice on the phone...but when the Police had called him he had completely forgotten about Randhir and went off himself...and after that he went to meet Sanyukta...seeing Randhir in such a rage Kunal was actually debating whether to tell him about Sanyukta...Kunal sighed and decided to tell him before Randhir came to know abt this from somewhere else...Kunal said in a very low voice "i am sorry my Son...when i got that call from the Police i forgot everything...i just went there without thinking about u...after i confirmed that the body was Rohan's i went to Sanyukta Agarwal's office to talk about this case"...Randhir raised his brows and said "who is this Sanyukta Agarwal?? "...Kunal said "u dont remember Sanyukta??...she is the famous lawyer...u remember the case i told u abt...where a lawyer saved an accused who was innocent? "...Randhir said "yeah...now i remember...the lawyer was Sanyukta...if i am not wrong she lost that case "...Kunal interrupted him and said "thats because she came to know that the person whom she was trying to prove guity was innocent"...Randhir said "But i fail to understand how can she help us in Rohan's case??...she is a lawyer and not an investigator...why the hell did u go to meet her ??"...Kunal told him everything that was discussed between him and Sanyukta ...Randhir kept staring at Kunal...at last he said " you actually asked her to solve the case??...i cant believe u...she is a lawyer its not her job to go around looking for murderers...i told you i will speak to Parth...he is an investigator and its his job to solve such cases"...Kunal told quietly "i trust her more than anyone else"...Randhir said " u know Parth since he was a kid...and u cant trust him...but u can trust a girl whom u met only today"...Kunal said "i dont know why...but i trust her...my heart tells me to trust her"...Randhir knew it was no use arguing with him Kunal never changes his mind once he begins to believe in something...he sighed and said "Ok Uncle Joe ...if thats what u want i am with u...i also want Rohan's murderers to be found out"...after sometime Randhir said "when will we get Rohan??"...Kunal said in a sad voice "Rohan is no more...how can we get him??"..."i meant Rohan's body ...i did not want to use the word "body"...it sounds so weird" sighed Randhir sadly..."why did anyone have to kill him??...he was just a kid...what harm can he cause anyone??...Randhir said angrily..."i swear i will find out who killed him and would see that the person rots in hell"...Randhir fumed...Kunal looked at Randhir and said "i hope we find out the murderer my son...i am feeling very tired...the police said that they will handover Rohan's body to us tomorrow...then we have to prepare for his last rituals "...Kunal could not continue he sat in the chair and tears began to fall from his eyes...Randhir placed his hand on Kunal's shoulder and said "Uncle i think u should go home now...tomorrow is going to be a long day"
