"I got one less problem without ya."
RANDHIR'S P.O.V.
"You like Sanyukta, don't you?" Parth confronted me, the second I entered the lab.
"God, Loser. Can you just cut this crap out? Just shut up," I replied dryly, in no mood to hear more of this bullshit.
"She's nice, an amazing girl - I tell you," he remarked, trying to mislead my path, I wasn't going to give in though, was I?
"And why do you suddenly care?" I bit right back, but he abruptly cut me off.
"I don't, but by the way you wait for her to get seated everyday in class, and when you're desperately worried if she's not present, seems like you care well enough," he said smartly, getting on the last of my nerves.
Thump!
I banged the table hard enough, and continued, "look. I don't have time for your theories, now move, will you?" I said for the sake of formalities as I rudely pushed him away and continued my work.
I paused for a second, looking over to the table Sanyukta usually works at. The difference was, today - she wasn't there. Only her 'best friend' was. To be honest, I watch her sometimes. Watch her when she frowns after getting something wrong, or when she gets irritated because of her long hair bugging her.
I don't let her notice that, though.
Sometimes, I wonder what it'd be like to be a part of her life. Not just as an enemy - but as an actual part of her life - a part that matters. A part she'd share her secrets with, the other half of her. The half I'll never be.
"Earth to Randhir! Are you thinking about her?" Parth rudely interrupted again. This guy was getting on my nerves, but in some part of me - I liked being teased about it, about Sanyukta. That there might be something between us there is to tease about.
"No I'm not, cut this crap and go do something useful," I adviced him. I'd normally just hit him or something, but as Vardhaan sir was here, that wasn't really a possibility.
"Whatever makes you sleep at night, Randhir," he smiled. The jerk smiled. He had the nerve to freaking smile.
"What do you want? Go away," I waved off my hand and he made a bored face. "What is it to you if I do like her, anyway? Jealousy?" I asked again, I had to.
"Like who? Hey Parth!" a voice spoke. And I knew exactly whom it belonged to.
"Hey Sanyu, we were just--" before the loser could complete, I put my palm around his mouth to shut him up, and thankfully he got the hint.
Loser. If he weren't in this college, I'd have one less problem.
