Hey guys...okay as I had promised that I won't be updating before 25th but i think I should update it now! Its been days God...Okay I am having a bit of time now and since I had written it a long time back , I am gonna just update it and pm everyone! Which will hardly take 15-20 mins and then i'll be off to sleep! Aaahhh sleep finally...haven't slept for days...don't ask...economics!Okay enough of my ranting , i'll just update now...🥱hope you all will like it...don't forget to comment and like...😃
PART 2: You can't deny what's between us
"We weren't even together and you still broke my heart"
"Do you regret that kiss Sanyukta?" he asked.
He saw a change in her expression again as she drew back hand which could not serve its purpose and looked down.
She looked up at him again with determination and sighed.
"Yes I do. I regret it very badly!" was her answer.
Randhir was shocked. He didn;t expect this. No , he was not talking about her answer , he was talking about her body language. She was totally blank , expressionless. He couldn't fathom her expressions. It was disturbing.
"Then why did you kiss me?" he whispered.
"Maybe because I was drunk!" she sighed.
Randhir came close to her. He didn't know why he was doing it. She had been absent in the past 4 reunion parties for reasons unknown to him. He was about to hold her hand when her phone went off.
"Hello? Haan bhai bol! Kya? Abhi but main toh...acha thik hai , I am coming!" she sighed and put her phone back in her jean's pocket.
"Listen randhir I have to go so if anyone asks about me then just tell them that I had to leave for an urgent meeting okay?" smiled and went away.
"Sanyukta!" he called for her. She turned back.
He was at a loss of words. Why did he stop her? He didn't remember. He kept on looking at her and that's when he noticed that she had lost a lot of weight. She looked skinnier than before but not too much. She looked , perfect.. He took a sharp breathe and smiled weakly at her. But to his disappointment , she didn't return his smile back. She just nodded and went away.
He followed her. He saw walking towards a Mercedes-Benz E Class. She sat and drove off. He saw the car , now outside the school compound. "She has changed so much!". He felt an unusual pain thinking that he won't be able to see her again. The feeling was making him a bit dizzy.
Just then his phone rang. "Hello? Yes Mr. Agarwal! What...oh thank you so much! Now? Okay I'll be there by an hour!" he smiled. Just then his best friend Aadit came up to him. "Yo bro , you look happy? Anything special?" he smiled. "Yeah , I just got selected by Agarwal Automobiles! You know , I always wanted to work under them or rather , with them!" he smiled and hugged his best buddy not knowing what his destiny awaited there. He didn't know that his destiny had other plans for him.
Agarwal Office:
Sanyukta came upto her brother's cabin. "Bol kya hua?!" she asked him. Ankit was the elder brother of sanyukta , now that their parents are dead , he sees to the fact that sanyukta completes her studies properly and listens to her heart. "Woh , I have selected some students from the NIITTE and they are gonna join us from tomorrow!" he said as he handed over the file to her. "You mean interns?" she asked. "No , I mean they are gonna work with us...they are recruited by us!" he smiled.
Sanyukta opened the file and scanned all the names. "Jeez are they gonna under you?" she asked. "Yes! There are 3 of them!" he said. "Wow , new managers! Hoping for some good ones!" she said and opened the file. And there it was , written in Block letters.
"RANDHIR SINGH SHEKAWAT"
She was horrified. "okay wait what? Randhir?" she looked up at her brother. "Yeah sanyu , infact , he is the brightest student of the college! I am so glad to have him on board!" he smiled proudly. Sanyukta looked at him , still shocked. "Oh and I have called him up today and told him that I want to meet him!" he added.
"WHAT?" she yelled. Ankit was surprised at her reaction. "Yeah what the problem sis? That's the policy don't you remember?" he said , still not understanding the reason behind her reaction. He only saw her glaring at him before closing the door behind her with a bang. He flinched. "I wonder what happened to her now!" he sighed and sat on his chair.
Sanyukta entered her cabin and looked here and there. She didn't know how to react. "what the hell!" she exclaimed. She quickly took her phone out and dialed Parth's number.
"Parth I swear to God if you don't show up by tomorrow I am gonna kill you!" she yelled at him but her anger subsided when heard him chuckle.
"Hua kya? Tum itni gusse mai kyun ho?" she heard him say.
"Just come back from australia , I'll tell everything in detail!" she said.
"Follow your heart sanyu!" she heard him say.
"Following the heart means losing your mind and I am a sorted woman parth! I can do without follow it! And I don't follow , I make everyone follow me!" she huffed and ended the call. She had to do something. She can't let this happen to her again. She put her head on the head-rest of her chair and closed her eyes.
All the pain she had been locking away in her heart was coming back to haunt her again. "It isn't painful to see you and not feeling anything , but it is painful to feel absolutely nothing after seeing after so many years!" she whispered to herself.
"I'll need to steer clear from her! I am not letting anyone hurt me anymore!" she said and banged her fists on the glass resulting in a wound. Her assistant entered her cabin with her brother and they saw her hand bleeding. But what she didn't see was another a man , with brown eyes panicking at the sight of her wound.
"Sanyu!" she heard her brother. He quickly brought the first-aid kit and started to apply detol. She didn't even wince. The man , randhir who was stunned to see her wounding herself was pained deeply inside too , when he saw her not even reacting to the medicine.
"Jal raha hai kya sanyu?" ankit asked as he blowed over the wound.
"I feel nothing bhai!" she said that's when she noticed randhir. She had a stern look to herself as she now looked at him intensely. Randhir felt so guilty that he avoided her gaze.
"Sanyu yeh hua kaise?" ankit asked. "Nothing bhai , it's a small cut don't worry about me!" she said as removed her hand from his grasp. Ankit was hurt. He got up and was about to go when he turned back and looked at her. "You've changed so much sis!" he whispered.
"Change is the only constant bhai!" she said. They left. Excepting Randhir. "What?" she asked.
"I know how it feels!" he whispered.
She chuckled. "Yeah right! Does it matter how I feel anymore , I mean , it's not like you care!" she sat on her chair and started to read a file.
"Can I help you?" he asked as he came near her.
"You have done what you had to and I don't blame you for it! I was the one with feelings and not you and I am glad that you didn't sympathize with me unlike other guys and told me the truth and anyways , it's not worth it anymore!" she said , not even looking at him.
Sab jhoothe jhoothe waade thhe unke
"I am sor..." he was about to say it but she interrupted and said "the past cannot be changed , forgotten , edited or erased , it can only be accepted! And I have accepted it!" she said and started to work on her computer now.
Ab sabhi unn khwaabon ki tu dagar chhod de
"You may leave Mr. Shekhawat! My brother , your boss will be looking forward to work with you and he called to brief you about your job!" she said in a business tone.
He went outside and closed the door to her cabin. He saw the nameplate on the door.
"Sanyukta Agarwal. Asst. Lawyer to Vardhaan Suryavanshi"
He blinked away his tears. "Focus randhir , focus! Don't lose your mind!" he told himself but still his thoughts went back to her. He proceeded towards ankit's cabin.
PRECAP:
"I am resigning!" sanyukta said as she handed over her resignation letter to Ankit.
"What? But...but why?" ankit asked , baffled by her decision. Randhir knew why. He glaring at her. He needed to be with her , alone. He knew how to stop her from doing this.
Randhir's House:
"Why are you so bothered about her randhir?" aadit asked.
"I don't know! I just...i just feel so responsible for all the shit she had to go through!" he said as he hid his face in his palms.
