yes this can be a way to avoid giving teh dowry money,, but there must be more to this plan,
first of all, the second bro is shown very principled, so he wont marry,, (what i guess)

then the grandmother refered to aonther problem being solved,,

my mom also likes this hsow,, she said they might plan to kill of bindiya,
