can plz some one pass this message to the writer....y on earth are they showing those scene with Suman's mom when suman's dad dies....as such they are showing how helpless are indian women. And to top it all they are showing these thinks as breaking her bangles...oh please....we all talk about equality for women n all that and this is what we are passing the message throught the serials....please dont try to pull the Indian women to such an extend that she feels disgusting....

im sry to say but you are taking this in a wrong way. i dont think that the show was showing a weak women if you posted a topic about how suman had to give up her study becasue she was married and other things like that then i would have said that ya they are not treating women the right way but how would you feel if you lost someone who you have spent most of you life with. someone who was there for you through thick and thin. its just showing how one feels when they loss someone close to them. in such situations no matter how strong a woman is she does break.

the whole thing they showed about breaking the bangles and taking away sindoor does happen because now she is not called a Suhagan she is a widow. the show is showing nothing but the reality, you just might feel that because you might have not seen it (im not sure if you have or not) but i have lived in india for quite a long time and i have seen every single thing that took place in the show except the burning of the body part because girls are not allowed to go to such places.

all i am saying is that the scene was very much closer to reality of how women losses everything once their husbands die. dont take it in a wrong way i m just telling you what actually goes on in the world.

i agree with you that it showed us the reality....interms of suman stoping the education n marrage its all fine....but i was taken back when they showed the sindoor taken off, bangels broken...i really know that it happens to this day in India...but is it not the TV is supposed to be a media to not jsut entertain but educate the people....i really feel bad for showing such this....
I remember my parents telling me "seeing TV is bad (for eye strain)" i would also tell my kids "seeing TV is bad(encourages social evil)...am not sure if u would agree with me...but i personal felt very bad for that scene

I appreciate what u r trying to say and your concern. What sathi re's writer showed was hardcore reality. We live in modern city where this kind of things won't be happen. That's why we feel bad. But in rular part, this is still happen and they called it as .tradition or "rivaj" . so they are not passing a wrong message but are closed to reality.

Regarding suman's study part, again they show reality. Still in some community, girl's marriage is more important than her study. This is happen with my college friend where she wanted to study but her parents wanted to get her married because of "good rishta they got for their girl" and she got married inspite of being a scholar student.

You r right that tv is supposed to be the media not only entertain but educate people. But now a days who cares for it. Everybody wants their trps. I MUST SAY SATHI RE IS VERY NICE AND CLEAN SERIAL. If you watch ekta's serial, they are the most antisocial serial where 3 marriage of a single person, husband having an physical relationship with wife's sister, negative hight of a vamp, etc. there are so many in the list. But don't want to waste my time on it. AND TRAGEDY IS STAR CREATIVE HEADS ARE AFTER SATHI RE SERIAL. WHY IS IT BECAUSE ITS NICE AND CLEAN?
