Sorry for not updating yesterday's update. Another wedding to attend and besides, nobody is reading the updates anyway but I thought I'd post today's update to keep up to scratch.
The scene starts with Modi's hearing Meera's cries over the phone and issue empty threats to no one listening. Dharam holds Meera still while Gaura continues to taunt, threaten and abuse. She lights a candle and drops hot candle wax on Meera's hand. Shravan tries to intervene but is scolded by Dharam. Meera shouts at Gaura and is slapped for her insolence. She tells her that she has no worth anywhere and threatens that next time she will drop hot wax into her eyes. Gopi hears Meera's screams and pleads with Ahem or anyone to do something. The women lament and the men grimace and hold still.
Kokila hears Meera's screams and gets up from the floor. Anger is propelling her to act. She shouts for Gaura to stop. Meera on the other hand plays her part by screaming more while Gaura threatens her and Dharam holds onto her. Shravan realises that the phone is still connected and cuts the call. Gopi pleads again. Kokila is now spitting feathers.
Shravan is disgusted by Gaura and Dharam's actions and says that he won't stay one more moment in the house and disappears upstairs.
Once he is out of earshot Meera starts laughing and is joined by Gaura and Dharam. Both marvel at how much pain Meera will put up with just to take her revenge on the Modi's. Gaura laughs and says that after hearing Meera's screams Vidya will come running back.
Kokila continues to rant and rave, declaring Gaura to be her enemy for playing with her grand daughters' lives. Kokila takes an oath (another one?) and likens herself to be another religious character to take revenge. Gaura on the other hand says Kokila will pay for her deeds. Kokila says the same. Yug is starting people.
The Modi's ask Kokila to not rush into things. Gopi, swayed by what she heard on the phone, asks for action to be taken soon. Kokila wants to go to Gaura's. Jigar stops her and is questioned. Jigar says that Gaura would know that Shravan was on the phone and created such a situation. Gopi protests but he says that Meera has never been such a person to take such abuse lying down and believes that it is all a trick to get them to react. (Clever boy) Hetal and Kokila agree with him. Kokila says that Gaura will feed off their concern and continue with her plan. Kokila wants to bring Meera back at any cost. Ahem says that Meera cut all ties with them. She decided her future herself and he doesn't care if she lives or ... Gopi cuts him off. Kokila tries to understand him and his anger but he is adamant and leaves.
Kokila tells Gopi not to worry about Meera as she will think how to bring Meera back and make Gaura lose.
Meera is folding her clothes when Dharam enters the room. He asks her what she is doing and threatens to hit her. She counteracts him. He throws her clothes on the floor and tells him that she is leaving and further calls him uneducated/unrefined. He tells that she is not going anywhere and to take her place in the corner of the room. Meera does not listen to him and he raises his hand to hit her. He is stopped by Gaura who asks what he is doing. He tells her to take Meera into hand else he will disfigure her face permanently. She sends him to get some air.
Meera tells her that she gave her 24 hours and no one can stop her. Gaura wonders what she was given to eat before being born as she has such spirit and temper. Gaura upholds the promise made to her.
Pre cap. Kokila asks Gopi to dry her tears and think of how to bring Meera back. Vidya decides that she has to go back.
