Saath Nibhaana Saathiya: 4 flaws glaring at you post the 10-year leap!

With the current plot, all I can think of is W*F...

We know that the show has taken a 10 year leap where we see Gopi returning from jail as her punishment was reduced by 4 years owing to her good behaviour. Well given that her sweetness gave half the audience diabetes, I'm surprised she wasn't relieved earlier... Anyway, getting back to the leap, I feel the makers have forgotten to include one very important thing in the current plot... LOGIC! The story goes something like this...

Out of sight, out of mind

Everybody is seeing Gopi after 10 years. In fact she doesn't even know how her daughters Meera and Vidya look and was seen asking Jigar about the same... Hmmm! What jail is it again? As far as I know, family members are allowed to meet prisoners regularly, then why did no one ever meet her? Even once? I fail to understand!

Honesty is not always the best policy

Gopi returns home and realises that Ahem and Kokila don't live there anymore. Instead they are now put up at Urmila's house. The reason behind this set up is some BIG secret that everybody is dreading telling Gopi... Well, then why the hell did they have to open their mouth? They could just have lied to her that they shifted to another city or something. Why' is the big question here!

Emotions gone wrong

On reaching Urmila's house, Gopi is shocked to see her mother-in-law working like a maid and Urmila beating her up with a broom. She's filled with grief at the sight but the moment she hears Rashi coming in, all her sympathy and grief for her beloved maaji' is forgotten and she leaves mid-discussion to greet her daughter... I get it that anyone would be excited to meet their daughter after 10 years, but I think the obvious emotion that would win here would be the grief. But that's for normal people, of course!

No sense of time

The show began in 2010 and counting the two leaps and the passing years, we have at least 25 years and yet we see no change what so ever in the way the characters look, society, the house, the cars, the mobiles or anything at all. I mean you can either have a period drama coming into the present or we can have a present-day plot moving to a futuristic world. But no, the show seems to be suspended in a black hole or something with absolutely no sense of time!

The only decent thing that happened post the leap is that Kokila does not dress up like a vicious witch anymore.

I have 2 things to say

I agree where they say that looks like no one went to meet Gopi in the jail. Family can meet and give updates in jail too

& last line---------------Koki doesnt dress up like a witch-----------------LOL
