A house in a chaal or slum area

I was wondering how big a house could be in a "chaal". First it was just Rashi and her parents who used to live in that house. May be two bedroom house. But now there is kinjal and dhawl, Madhuri and her husband, Rashi and kids and on top radha.
Isn't it little funny despite of so many people - everyone has his/her room.
