TAM ratings to be released on Thursdays

TAM viewing data for Indian television will now be released every Thursday starting this week.

The data being released for Week 5 on Thursday 7th February will also consist of five new LC1 markets introduced by TAM in 2013: Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, PHCHP and Rajasthan, where MP does not include Chhattisgarh but UP includes Uttaranchal. With the release of these markets, now TAM is covering 92 per cent of the HSM urban markets from the earlier 74 per cent.

For these markets, TAM has adopted the similar policy when it had released the Maharashtra LC1 market, i.e., the data for these markets are being released together for a cumulative five weeks from the release date. This means new LC1 market data for Weeks 1-5, 2013 (December 30, 2012 – February 2, 2013) will be released tomorrow morning along with the all-India data.
