I mean like in cooking that substance which actually adds the extra special flavour & taste to the whole dish...if it goes missing then even after the best effort, the dish though is good falls short of being excellent !!!!

OMG I am SO SO GLAD you wrote this post! I was just about to start a post saying "Was it just me...but was Ahem saying I love you or asking his secretary to fetch the blue file?!!!" Yes I realise this title is too long and there's no way it would fit! But I couldn't help but think his whole tone, was somewhat monotone, dull, without feeling, without empathy, nay even without emotion when he said the words we were all longing to hear. It was like the climax gone wrong, the bubble burst...the mountain out of a very small, very dire, very dull molehill. I was dissapointed. Where was the passion, where was the true sound of love in his voice??

I suppose he somewhat redeemed himself when he reached for her hand, grabbing her bangles and asking what would be her reply. This tone at least saved him. But the actual three little words??? It just sounded like he was asking for "Meethi bring me the blue file" or "I would like some green tea".

And as for Gopi being a complete romance killer?!! Ok run off in your sultry flirty way away from. That's all fine, cute even. But the man asks you, 'what's your reply' in the wee hours of the morning, and the best you can come up with is, I've got to have a cup of tea?!!

I certainly hear your point when you say the dish fell short of being excellent, something WAS missing. Thing is, I strongly doubt whether it even came close to good.

Does anyone agree...or am I just losing the plot???!

Oh my goodness, just read a lot of everyone's comments now, and what a relief!! We all have shared thoughts about today's performance!!!

Really hope it improves...and we get to see some of that passion, that magic, that spice back!

I have to agree with you guys here, I watched today's episode and while I knew mentally that I was watching a romantic track I could not connect to it on an emotional level and unfortunately if one cannot connect to the track it kinda just falls flat. Nazim has taken on the bulk of the role and the success or failure of SNS is currently resting on his shoulders. Unfortunately this will not be an episode I will look back at, you're right something is missing.

Christine, Nazim was awesome, but there were too many things wrong with the scene for us to connect with it.
The choice of the song and the way it was played was number one thing. I am sorry to say that Dev did not match him at all.
She left me feeling cold. Okay if she has doubts about his love still then there should have been mix of emotions in her expressions, but she pulled away from him with a shy look instead of answering him and also in the room when he brought it up again she smeiled but there should have been another emotion shown to us at least, but when he left to make the tea she was shown as being happy, so then why did she not tell him she loves him too, or should she not have shown some sort of sadness since he was not there?
As Sandy said in another post too many technical flaws also, and even Nazim as good as he was, the "I Love you" needed little more emotion than he gave.
The magic of Gohem, that we used to get just from a eyelock, even when he hated her, is no longer there.

Hmmm...probably his hatred had more passion than his love 😉

Saying Tum pagal ho & Chup Ek dhum Chup...Aage ek labz bhi nahin😳 is better than I love you!

I feel sad the best thing in sns the ahem gopi romance is dead. There was more fire in Gia and nazim eye locks than there was in the whole episode. Maybe writers realize this and are starting parag koki jealousy track. The Suhaag Raat between rashi and jigar was cold. Ahem gopi have been romancing like bunnies since Gia left but all cold emotionless scenes which border on comical due to poor chemistry.

Nazim and Gia would have lit the screen on fire with these scenes. Today was the final test and it failed. On a scale of 1 to 10 there was zero heat.

Nazim acting is wasted and expected scene ended flat.. No expressions, no emotions. There is nothing in it when compared to just a eyelock between Gia and Ahem...Nazim's acting is slowly losing its charm with Dev...Gia and Nazim did wonders in SNS and its no more in it and romance scene at last proved SNS is dead.
