They have ruined Ahem - A RANT

I can't even find it in myself to post my usual pic posts for the last two days as this show is making me angry.

Cristine the crux of the matter is they want more drama, hence more TRP.

How to get more TRP? Gopi cries and Ahem is angry. So are we back to square 1 after 2 years.

Hence characters will be tweaked in any direction.

It is too early to say how and when it will end because shows that depict positivity example Sasural Genda Phool, ended very fast and shows that depict misery tend to go on forever.

Christine, come here! 🤗 You're sounding like the way I was a couple of weeks ago when the Anita crap was happening!

Ahem was already ruined when he kept quiet as Anita tried her swag to get him back. His panic at the impending doom called fatherhood is fueled partly by those "rent-a-aunties"--I agree. I would be freaked out too, but I think he really wanted to start his relationship with Gopi from scratch and build it upwards. This is explained by how he tried to come close to her last week (when she was usurped by her nausea). He doesn't see the child as being a product of their consummation, but actually as a stop sign that is not letting him make any progress with Gopi.

As for Koki, we know she has never been the one to give "regular" (and I'm using this term loosely) punishments. She's made the Great Modi iron clothes! I didn't expect her to take his refusal lightly, so her reaction today was "normal". I agree that she should let go of both of them, but I doubt that will be of much use to Gopi. Remember, Gopi will do anything to keep her Ahemji happy, even if that means being a punching bag for his temper. If Koki lets go of Gopi's rein, then Gopi will still mold herself to make Ahem happy. There will be no growth of a spine, but instead a whole lot of morphing that Gopi will do for Ahem. Maybe this track is where Ahem is left on his own. Maybe this is where Gohem start over.

I also detest how TV shows portray women as weaklings. A billion people in India didn't just drop from the sky! They're not weak, but showing women as helpless creatures in need of a savior and a protector brings in the greens for these channels. It's a pathetic cycle, but one that the audience prefers.

I've always wanted some other tracks in Saathiya and the other shows I watch, but it never happens. I am sympathetic towards these characters that don't get a chance to shine. Ahem's relationship with his father is equally important. Kinjal and Dhawal need progress too. That damnable cat was an accessory! Jigar and Rashi need to get a move on too! Don't get me started in how these couples communicate. Even my parents don't communicate that much, but they've been married for 26 years. By now, they're tuned into each other like X-Men's Professor Xavier that they both know what the other is thinking! In Saathiya, these newly married couples hardly talk about their day. Gopi doesn't even know what Ahem does in his office or what that divine blue file contains. Realism is missing--sadly!

I doubt I answered any of your questions, but my only assurance to you is that, you're not the only one who is PO'ed by these loose ends. I've bugged Aris about it and she, me. Even then, we came up with no answers. 😒

I think the CVs in an attempt to raise ratings have reverted to the old game plan - hateful, angry husband & poor, sad, depressed, tortured wife.🤢

Ahem's character was finally making progress after 2 years, we have had to watch him be a complete ass for the last 2 yrs and finally just when we get some character development and the story is progressing, we get the last week of silly story lines.

First of all what the hell is with the random rent-a-aunties who show up & give advice? And a rent-a-kid who hugs a random stranger?😕

All the advice from everyone, and the treatment of Gopi as if she is a delicate flower, would make any normal human snap. Heck I would have broken the kids toy too, it was annoying.

They have made Ahem to be this guy who doesn't want a child, so he was all happy last week that he was going to be a father & by this week he is changed to a child-hater? Who writes this crap?😡

And what the hell is up with Koki, seriously I like the character but of recent she has been getting on my last nerve.

First of all my guy would NEVER let his mother (God rest her soul), separate me and him. NEVER! I would never let it happen. Why does Koki keep treating them like kids, if she was to get hit by a bus tomorrow who would manage the people at MM? Let go of your kids for God's sake, quit being so in their business all the time. Let them make their own mistakes and work it out together.

As someone posted (sorry I forgot who) asking the question if Gopi was ready to be a mother, I say no. She is weak in the face of all these egos in MM. All she does is look depressed & cries all the damn time. Can we not get some real character development here? Can she not grow a backbone after 2 long years? Don't we as the audience deserve better for our patience?

Koki has the biggest ego, she is a control freak, like who died and made her God? She needs to sit her tail down somewhere and leave her son & his wife to figure out their relationship, and quit with the stupid advice already. GAWD. Can't they show the husband and wife TALKING (yea it never happens in Indian serials) and working their problems out like adults? We as the audience would enjoy it better & please focus on the other characters too, quit just having them play props.

Indian women are strong, we don't wilt like flowers when we're pregnant. We have given birth for thousands of years and have endured great hardships, pregnancy does not make us weak, it is NOT a disease. I wish the writers would show Gopi as a woman of strength rather than just another DIL who is controlled by her MIL & abused by her husband.😡

So this is the way they have decided to gain ratings, show the same story they did for the last 2 yrs, just add in pregnancy & separation.🥱

This show is so darn regressive & a slap in the face to women & anyone with a brain.
