why did Gia quit... could she not participate on two shows like many of the stars have done in the past... seriously miss her... she is irreplacable!!!

did Gia quit??? 😲I thought she said that start plus sacked her job over night...

truly yaar we miss her too...
she is irreplaceable ...but kya karen she is replaced😕 that's bad from SP

Giaa could have done both shows just as some Star plus actors from previous years have taken part in Jhalak whilst managing their own show.

Noone knows the real reason why Star would not allow Giaa to take part. Star at first blamed Giaa for breaching her contract then they said she had not followed their policy. The official reason she was fired from SNS according to Star is that by taking part in JDJ then this would have an adverse impact on the image of Gopi in SNS.

Even though Star's moto is 'Naya Soch' they think that their audience is so naive that they are unable to differentiate between the character of Gopi and the actress, Giaa, who take part in the dance show.

I agree she could have, but her producer said yes then said No afterwards that's what she said in her interview last week, but then when Giaa wouldn't back down after all she signed contract with Jhalak already and she had started practising for jhalak at this stage, they were putting pressure on her to quit jhalak with phone calls threatening to hurt her physically by breaking her legs and Giaa quit SNS instead, she had been going through this for a month and even visited a psychiatrist as well.

She probably felt doing both shows would mean her life would be at risk.

Unfortunately we the viewers, who invested our time and money in subscriptions for Star Plus are loosing out as the serial is now a joke, with a new girl which we can't connect properly to what Giaa was as Gopi. But this doesn't mean anything to Star, the production house or to Giaa herself. We all supposed to accept it or move onto another serial, but I've learnt my lesson if she doesn't come back I'm not investing my time on another serial, if lead's are changed like this it's not worth it.

She has capacity and will power to do both the shows.Sacking her at the peak hour before the competition will really make her less energy in the competition. That's seen in her reality show.At least they should have left her without illegal comments on articles. More worried about her career. Star plus had given bad moral about themselves to the audience.

no one actually knows the real truth but this i say there is fault lies in cahnnel end, actors should be given freedom to earn their living within few years, i think Production house gave her permission for her JDJ before after she was in JDJ they asked her not to participate but gia tried to convince they did not agree to her, and Gia wanted to do the show, that is her right,

so she was axed over night ...

this is also one of our guess... but u will get many answers from all our experts, to say frankly nothing is clear yet.

but one thing is clear, Actors should have freedom to do more shows at a time ...

Someone tell me how many SP leads are doing two shows (same channel, different channel)! Minor characters don't count.

Obviously, she didn't have the leeway to do both JDJ and SNS, otherwise, there'd be no replacement for Gopi. We wouldn't even be talking about this.

I'm glad someone actually said "quit" and not "fired".

The contract by SP states something like, "You have to get our permission before doing shows for other networks". JDJ approached different SP actors like Hina, Anas, Sanaya, and of course, Gia. SP told them that they did not have permission to do the show, so if they wanted to honor their contract and continue working, they would have to decline JDJ's offer. All of them said fine, except for Gia. Gia left in order to pursue her aspirations on JDJ.

Why did SP not want their actors participating? No one really has a clear cut answer. The competition factor comes up a lot.

SGP's Ragini Khanna (Suhana) did Jhalak and also her serial on Star Plus and Sony, similar story with Bidaai's Parul Chauhan (Ragini) did Jhalak and her show Bidaai. Both were not fringe characters of their serials but leads. As Sandy said, Star's excuse in the image being tarnished, but if we compare Parul and Gopi both were not outgoing bahu's so the character on the serial and in the dancing show is different.

But we don't know, if we are to speculate the main difference here is because SGP's Suhana and Bidaai's Ragini did Jhalak when it was on a different channel that being Sony and not Colors, it seems Star is having a channel war with Colors as Colors is gaining on them in the serials. I know it's strange because the crime shows on Sony are also gaining on them, so I guess this year is a bit tough for Star programming and TRP, possibly they are obsessed with TRP as much as we are with Gohem being Giaa and Nazim and not Dev and Nazim.

Just to go back to what Sandy said about image issues with Jhalak and SNS characterisation, we have seen Rupal yesterday in Jhalak loose hair dancing cha cha cha, Giaa has performed in Award shows which have high TRP then the serials but Star never thought about what audiences would think about these stars doing performances in other avatars. Similarly the SBB/SBS coverage of parties like the TRP 7 party and No.1 party that the Saathiya show had, it's an excuse that doesn't wash even because of the above.
