Trust
Kokila had challenged Anita saying that only Gopi can be the perfect wife for Aham and she is sure that Aham agrees with her but Anita argued back saying that Aham was unhappy with Gopi and he was in this forced marriage just to make his mom happy. Kokila then came up with the idea of the yogya patni competition and she said that her Gopi vau will win this competition and prove her right.
Anita became overconfident since she had already planted doubts in Gopi's head that Aham regretted being married to her and she implemented the next phase of her plan to separate Gohem during the yogya patni competition. Anita would always do something to make Aham support and console her in front of the whole family to make them think that he was still in love with her. She would always hold his hands or throw herself at him while crying and sometimes make him speak on her behalf.
Ahem did not realise what Anita was playing at as he was just helping her as a friend. He did not think much about Anita's antics as he was more concerned about his Gopi. She was still not speaking to him and had also started avoiding him lately. She would get ready and be out of their room before he even woke up and came to bed after he fell asleep. He tried waiting up for her every night but she came into the room so late that he fell asleep waiting. She still did all his work for him but never came in front of him. Aham considered himself lucky if he happened to catch a glimpse of his Gopi even once during the whole day. And then he did manage to catch a glimpse of her he saw a deep pain in her eyes and he loathed himself for hurting her so much.
Gopi tried her best to avoid her Ahemji lately since this was another thing her Rashiben made her promise to do. She was doing her best in the yogya patni competition as she could not let her maji lose in front of Anita. She saw how Anita was trying her best to get close to her Ahemji and how she would behave in front of the whole family making them think that Ahem was still in love with her. Gopi would always be hurt when she saw Anita getting close to Ahem and making Ahem support her and she would always walk away when she saw them together.
Kokila had been seeing how much pain her Gopi vau was going through and she was fed up of Anita's antics. She gathered the whole family in the main sitting area and confronted Ahem about Anita.
Kokila: Ahem I have now realised how wrong I was to get you married to Gopi vau. She has received nothing but pain from you since you both got married and I have decided that you should divorce Gopi so that she can seek her happiness elsewhere and you can marry Anita since you are so happy with her and are always supporting her. I never thought you would insult my upbringing like this Ahem and I'm really disappointed in you. I want you to divorce Gopi vau and you'll have to leave this house and family forever if you refuse to divorce her.
Anita who wanted to instigate Ahem against his whole family started crying and said
Anita: Why does everyone doubt us Ahem? What wrong have we done? See even your family does not trust you then how can I expect some strangers to trust me? My life is ruined. Who's going to marry me now?
Ahem was so shocked hearing what his mom just said and seeing the accusing looks his whole family was giving him that he did not even hear what Anita said. He could not believe that the family who loved and adored him so much were actually doubting him and think so low about him. How could they think like this when he was actually in love with his wife, his Gopi. Suddenly he realised something and thought "Oh God! Is this why Gopi has been avoiding me and not speaking to me? Does she think so low about me too? Does she not trust me? Have I broken her heart so much that she has stopped loving me now?" Ahem stopped breathing with just the thought of Gopi not loving him and a tear rolled down his cheek. The pain he was feeling right now was unimaginable.
He staggered back feeling lifeless when he suddenly felt her tiny hand take hold of his. He looked into her eyes but could not see clearly as his were full of tears. Gopi wipes Ahem's tears softly, looked into his eyes lovingly and said confidently
Gopi: I trust you Ahemji. I know you are supporting Anita ben as a friend, nothing more nothing less.
Ahem felt life rush back into him as he started breathing again and his heart was beating rapidly. His tears continued flowing. He was so relieved, so happy that he was finding it hard to find words to express himself. He hugged Gopi tightly and cried his heart out and Gopi hugged his back and kept rubbing his back until he calmed down.
Anita who could not bear seeing her plan fail tried a last attempt to make Gopi leave Ahem. She started crying again and said
Anita: Its really good to see that you trust Ahem Gopi but he will have to divorce you and marry me now as Kokila aunty has decided this for him and we all know that Ahem will never go against his mom.
Hearing this Ahem took a deep breath and stood defiantly in front of Kokila holding Gopi's hand.
Ahem: I always thought that no one understands me better than you mom, then how could you even think that I would hurt Gopi like this? My Gopi, the girl who knows me and trusts me more than anyone else does. Seeing her smile brings a smile on my face, her tears make my heart bleed and make me want to set the whole world on fire. I forget my anger as soon as I see her lovely and innocent face. She looks after me like no one ever did before. She made me human and made me fall madly in love with her. My heartbeats race when she is close to me and my eyes always look for her when she is not around. She makes me want to bring the whole universe to her feet just to see that one smile on her face which makes my heart beat quicker. She is my love, she is my life and I feel like the luckiest man on earth to be able to call her mine. Just the thought of her not being in my life makes me want to die. Then how can you even expect me to leave her and marry someone else? I will never divorce Gopi mom! I prefer to leave this house, this family and you forever but I'll never leave Gopi.
The whole family was shedding tears of happiness and Kokila looked at her son with pride in her eyes saying that he doesn't have to leave the house and that she just wanted to make him confess his feelings to her Gopi vau. Ahem smiled at his mom and said
Ahem: Sometimes I seriously feel that you love Gopi more than me mom.
Kokila hugged both Ahem and Gopi and said
Kokila: Sometimes I do love my Gopi vau more than you Aham. She is my beloved daughter and always makes me proud. She is a blessing in disguise for all of us.
Ahem could not help but feel proud of his wife and smiled brightly at his mom saying
Ahem: Thank you mom, for bringing Gopi into my life. She is perfect in every way and I love her with all my heart.
Anita was shocked hearing all this and questioned Ahem on why he called her pretending to be Nilesh and why was he always there for her if he did not love her. Ahem finally cleared the her misunderstanding and said he did all this as a friend and that Gopi was always there with his when he called her. Anita finally understood how wrong she was and apologised to Gopi who forgave her with a sweet smile. She also changed her ways and married a boy of kokila's choice.
