It's strange that almost every star plus show seems to generate the same complaint. I watch EHMMBH, IPKKND, SNS and Pratigya (or rather, read written updates when I can) and I'm silently active on all the forums. I see every single forum has the same problem... I usually refrain from commenting but I think the problem lies in the hectic schedule and mad race to be the top show. The creative team of every show has to do their best to keep the audience entertained and it's easy to forget that the target audience is quite large in India. I know we all have certain expectations from the shows because we connect with the characters on screen... they become part of our lives almost. But it is, at the end of the day, purely fictional. It is nearly impossible to have one consistent storyline that is able to keep the audience entertained. After a while it starts to become repetitive and boring. Twists are essential, as are interwoven storylines.

I think the best one can do to not feel disappointed is think that, just as we grow up and develop personality changes, so do the characters on screen. I know none of the characters are what they used to be a year ago, but then neither are we.

And I get the point of using all the other characters but really, there's only so much one can do with a story. With Kinjal and Dhaval, Urmila has to be shown on screen as well and if I'm perfectly honest with you, I find her character unbearable sometimes. The lesser they show her on screen, the happier I am. The 4 main leads are the only ones everyone wants to see universally, so if they spend more time on screen, why complain? 😉 I am more than happy to drool over Nazim 😛 as are many other girls I'm sure 😃
