Last part...
Ahem and Gopi held each other for over 15 minutes. Ahem said this is a beautiful night and having you near me like this is making this night even more spectacular. Gopi nodded yes and said Ahemji I think any place you are with me is perfect. Ahem hugged Gopi and she hugged him back. Ahem said if we are going to stay out here for a while, lets go sit down on the jhoola. Gopi agreed and they walked arm in arm to the jhoola. Ahem sat down and leaned into the side of the swing and put his legs straight across the swing. He then held Gopi and helped her sit on the inside side while she was half hugging Ahem and her one leg was crossed over Ahem's body, and her head was resting on his shoulder. She was holding onto his waist with her hand at the bottom and her other hand was on his chest holding his hand. Ahem was holding his wife with one hand and with his other hand he held Gopi's hand in his. He felt like this was heaven. Ahem then kissed Gopi on the forehead and said Gopi what is going on in the house. Is everything ok? Gopi looked at him with a worried expression and thought of how much to tell him.
Gopi then said Ahemji, voh...there seems to be a misunderstanding between Kakaji and Maji, and I am trying to make sure it does not break their love. Ahem tightened his hold on Gopi and said, I trust you to take care of my family, Gopi...but if there is anything you need me for please tell me. Gopi looked at him and smiled and said yes Ahemji, I will. Ahem then asked about Rashi. Gopi became all serious, which did not go unnoticed by Ahem, and said Rashi did something that was not right and she tried to get Meethiben in trouble. So I tried to explain about family and she is not willing to listen. So I stopped telling her anything. It hurts Ahemji, but I have to do everything I can to keep my family together. Ahem felt his heart swell and felt an immense amount of pride for his wife. How ironic that he thought her to be a gawar and here she is using all her smartness and thoughtfulness to keep his family intact. Ahem then asked if she is hiding something from him. Gopi didn't know how to respond to this and she got all serious and Ahem could see her eyes start to shine with tears. He put his finger under her chin and said tell me Gopi. She said, Ahemji, I am afraid you may not like me after I tell you. I don't want to ruin the love I just got today. Ahem held her tighter and said Gopi, my love for you is bound by things that would make me mad at you. It is bound by trust and compassion and also the need to tell each other everything no matter what. And if by telling me you think I would get upset with you then I promise you, it is not true. I was hot headed before, but I didn't have the calming influence from you then. So please tell me.
Gopi got up with a lot of help from Ahem and walked back to the place where Ahem had found her. She was starting to get more and more tears in her eyes. She then turned around to see Ahem standing right in front of her and she said Ahemji, why don't you remember anything from Holi? Ahem was stunned, he didn't expect that question. He said I don't know Gopi. He had wrinkled his forehead in deep thought and said the last thing I remember is walking outside to play Holi. Gopi looked at him intently and knew he was telling the truth. So she knew she had to be the one to tell him everything. She started with Ahemji, you and I played Holi with each other. You colored me in the mandir and then asked if I was planning on coloring you and so I did. Ahem looked at her completely confused. I played Holi. Are you serious? Gopi then said earlier than that you also danced with Dhavalbhai and Devarji. Ahem was kind of feeling happy and yet confused at what in the world would have possessed him to play Holi. And dance with his family at that. Ahem then realized he was getting only half the story and said what else Gopi. Please tell me everything...
Gopi then looked at him and turned back around so she did not have to face him when she told him what her heart held for so long. She said how he had chased her by throwing colors on her and they ended up in their bedroom and how they fell on bed with him on top of her. She said when I tried to get up you held me back down. And then Ahemji, you started to caress me and then you showed me your love. And when you kissed me on my forehead, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I looked into your eyes and saw only passion and love for me. Then you kissed me on each eye and then on each cheek. Then when you went to kiss me on the lips, I cried because you were loving me and I had waited for so long...and I was finally getting what I had always wanted. She went on to tell him everything they did and then she turned back to him and said, Ahemji that night, when you got angry at me you also said something that broke me. You said you didn't remember what you did all afternoon. Ahemji,I got your love and I lost in within hours. And it killed me. I didn't think I had it in me to continue to live. But each passing day and every chance you got you showered me with your love and want. I felt like you didn't hate me then why did you not remember. I lost all hope Ahemji. Gopi started to cry and Ahem went to her and held her. He held her tight and he caressed her and he kissed her on the top of her head. He was lost for words. He didn't remember any of it. And now he was getting mad at his own luck for not being able to remember how he spent the afternoon with his wife, his love...
When Gopi's cries had subsided, he told her Gopi, I wish to God I could remember, but I cannot. All I can say is I love you and I hope you find it in your heart to forgive me. Gopi looked up at him and smiled and said when you told me you loved me, I forgot everything. But having to tell you all just made me cry for the loss of your memory. Ahem also felt his eyes sting with tears but held them at bay. He looked at Gopi and said I wish I could remember the first time I kissed you. Gopi shyly looked down and Ahem had to smile, he finally could see her smile light up her eyes. He was a very happy man. He picked up his wife and started to walk towards their room. Gopi had a mini attack. She tried in vain to make him let her go and that they would walk to the room together. Ahem just looked at her and kissed her on the lip...a quick peck...and said I don't care who sees us. You are my wife and I have nothing to hide. Gopi kept saying But Ahemji...but Ahem would not listen. He just had a very naughty smirk on his face. So all Gopi could do was pray no one would be awake to see them. When they entered the house, Ahem turned around and Gopi used her hands to close the door. She then went back to holding his neck and buried her face in the nook of his neck.
And when they entered the room, again Ahem requested her to lock the door. He then took her to their bed and laid her down and got down next to her. He then kissed her on the lips with all the passion he had felt for her. He was going to make all her dreams come true and he would never allow for another tear to fall from her eyes. No sad tears any ways. Ahem and Gopi kissed each other and then held each other and promised each other to always talk about everything and not hold anything back. Gopi promised him she would only tell him all the women stuff if it got out of hand and she needed help. Ahem was ok with it, he trusted her immensely and he knew she would never allow his family to break or be broken by anyone. Then they both made love, and they both showed each other what they meant to each other and they fell asleep with huge smiles on their faces and new dreams in their eyes. Dreams that consisted of only love and nothing else...And maybe in the future, make their Baa a Pardadi...
