Aham.. I know you are doing your best in trying to woo your wife. Good going.. 😃 But she needs you more than ever now. Today unintentionally, you drove the knife deeper into her heart by your ignorance. She is breaking and now she will need your care all the more.. So start doing the below, because I can see you are confused too...
Tell her that it is ok to have fights in the family. That people do not stop loving each other because they have harsh and angry words to say to each other.
Tell her that that diffusing a tense situation may not always right.Let it run its course. Good solutions come out of fights. But then she did great today..
Tell her not to hide other's mistakes in the name of saving the family and love. Her good intentions are only making the divide wider and she is letting the good person in this midst(Koki) down. For if you truly love a person you show them their mistakes. Hiding mistakes and your feelings and doubts and protecting undeserving candidates can lead to long term problems.
Tell her that people do not fall out of love that quickly. She can be secure in other's love for her, especially yours and her Maaji's. Her family will not break and she will not be alone.

For Aham, in Gopi's sacrifice today all I can see is her fear to lose what she has. She thinks she already has lost out on your love for her. Now she does not want to lose the only family she has known. Her Maaji, Kakiji are her family. She does not want them to hurt each other thereby making her fears come true.
Aham, her fear comes from the very fact, her illusion, that you do not love her. Remove that fear and make her secure.
