Aham woke up in his room disoriented. He was confused and his head was splitting like hell. He shook his head twice to see clearly. He looked around and found himself alone. He got up from his bed only to see that he was in his vest and shorts. His whole mind was focused on going down and getting his green tea which will reduce his headache. He quickly dressed and went down. The whole house was deserted. He found meethi in the dining hall and questioned her. The cling of bangles made him aware that gopi was in the kitchen.
The moment she saw him, her eyes became soft and her face transformed into a glow. In his present state all he managed was to ask her to bring his green tea to their room. A few minutes later he found gopi bringing his tea. He sat on the sofa holding his head. Till date he had never experienced such a headache. And he was troubled by questions. How did he reach their room? He remembered trying to color gopi but being intercepted each and every time. His mind was filled with hazy images. Gopi came near him and gave him his tea.
He found her looking at him in a different manner. All lovely dovely. Now what? Did I color her? He tried to remember but got more confused and she asked him: ji aap teek hai?
Aham was irritated. Here his head was splitting and she was smiling at him. So he shouted. Why are you standing there? Get me some medicine. I m having a terrible headache.
He immediately noticed tears in her eyes. What did I say? He took the medicine she gave him and let to the washroom. When he reached there, he saw gopi's image in the door. She looked shocked and in pain. He left her thinking what is wrong with her.
The hot water began to relax him. The medicine had taken its effect and slowly his irritation reduced. Just then he noticed something. He went to the mirror to check. He found nail marks in his back and a small bite mark on his shoulder. What the hell? He stood staring at the image. What happened?
Slowly as if the memory was of his past birth, it came to him. Holi celebration… coming alone with gopi…coloring her…their chase…and finally oh god
Aham froze. Did it really happen? Did I and gopi…………
Then it hit him gopi's expression. The expression of love and how it had turned to pain. The puzzle of finding himself in his vest and shorts was clear now. He remembered that he was on the bed. He came out of the washroom in a daze. He needed time and clear air to think about what happened. A smile spread on his face when he saw his dress on their bed. Even when hurt she never backs off from taking care of him. He dressed quickly and came down. He made a quick scan and found that she was cooped in the kitchen. He knew she was trying to avoid him. So he told his mom that he had important work so he will be back soon.
Aham went to the park where he had taken gopi. He sat in one of those picnic benches. Now what? He realized that something had gone wrong during holi celebration. He had become tipzy. He raked his memory. Then he remembered the laddu gopi gave him. Till he ate it he was normal after that he had only vague memories. He remembered gopi say that it was kanaji's Prasad and her mami had given it to her. So this was urmila's work. He pushed this out of his mind. It seems that in his intoxicated state he had forced himself on gopi.
No he had not forced her. If he had forced her she would not be so happy. It must have happened with mutual consent. So now what is his stand? Did he regret it? His brain shouted a big NOOO.
He did not regret it. He had been waiting for something like that. His only regret was he could not remember the exact details. His regret was while gopi remembered everything, he will look foolish infront of her. Well it can be rectified after few minutes of debating with himself he came to a decision.
When he reached home, he found that his mother was waiting for him. He silently had his dinner and went to his room. He found it empty just like his heart when she was not near him. He changed back to his night clothes and waited for her. The clock seemed to move and he was pacing the room. Soon he heard the sound of her payals and waited for her. Suddenly it stops and turned back. By the time he reached the door, she was gone. He went in search of her and found her near the mandir.
Kanaji why did you do this to me? what did I ask you? All I wanted was a mother's love and my husband's love. See what you did? How can I face ahamji now? He will think I did it on purpose. What went wrong kanaji. I thought this was my happy day. But no this had turned into my worst day. It is all my fault. I should have been strong. Now ahamji regrets what had happened. What can I do?
His heart broke to hear her cry. His immediately reaction was to go to her. But he decided to wait in their room. He switched off the lights and lay down on the sofa and closed his eyes. he was sure that gopi will not come inside till she is sure that he is asleep. Gopi came inside closed the door. The moment she found him on the sofa, her heart broke into thousand pieces. Unable to control her tears she rushed into the washroom. It was nearly half an hour when she was able to calm down and come out. She was shocked to see aham standing there with his arms crossed and a questioning glance
Gopi what happened?
Ji woh nothing
Then why do you have tears in your eyes.
Immediately her eyes filled up and she stared silently at him. He came near her: why did you give me bhang laddu
Gopi's head snapped back: bhang laddu
Yes.
So this explains mami and dhawal bhai's actions. If the laddu had bhang it means that ahamji was intoxicated and whatever happened he had forgotten……………..
Gopi could not control herself and began to cry. She felt aham's arm go around her. Will you tell me now why you are crying?
Gopi shook her head. Do you think I regret it? gopi stopped crying at looked at him
Well I don't remember what exactly happened. But whatever happened I don't regret it. So do you mind showing me what we did?
I stop her and leave the rest to the readers. I know everyone are mad at the cvs including me. so this is a piece of my imagination. I m praying and hoping desperately that aham remembers what happened. Hope you like it. my creativity seems to be blocked after watching that horrid promo.
