Taniks in your case though I understand as you need the subtitles, but everyone else must go and watch the episodes right from the beginning I feel and unfortunately Dhruvie's threads don't go far back as much, Munny was asking this last weekend, episode number 47 Rashi gets to know about property distribution the house is in Aham's name and 50% of the business too, Jigar doesn't own any share in the house or the business, the other 50% is in Chirag's name but assuming all is well between them when Chirag retires or dies, his son would get the 50% share making it an equal share between him and Aham of Modi Industries.

http://starplus.startv.in/recaps.aspx?Page=59&sid=30 (you will see here in the recaps it says Aham fully owns the Modi empire, what they mean by that is Jigar owns nothing, and only Aham has a stake...and not necessary all the business and the house is fully owned by Aham)

thanks once again... somehow watched only from the August '10 episodes ...

so they say everything is in Ahems' name...but why ...😕

I think he is the first born, male heir. Kind of obvious female heirs don't really exist when a male heir is present, the female's get fobbed of with a money in form of a dowry when their get married, Jigar was always assumed that he needed to grow up, stop being so playful and learn from Aham and his father if he succeeded he also would be given a share, most likely his father's share when he retires, but when he married Rashi, he had just finished his studies, knew absolutely nothing, in practical terms, about running a business and their didn't want to give him any share until he did learn the ropes (that is my assumption, as well as the fact his father owning the other 50% would guarantee him that share when dad retires).

We saw in Kinjal's case she got a dowry that Dhawal spent...they never did specify how much money was in the dowry though.

Munni I think the house gets inherited by the eldest son /grandson when he reaches a certain age . What makes more sense to me is that ahem granfather gifted to ahem as he was the first born grandson.I am just assuming nothing confirmed.

They didn't mention the grand father on that particular episode, all they showed was Rashi finding the legal documents stating what I have said above.

that makes sense ... so if jigar is capable of handling the business he might get chirag's share...

so is that reason koki sees - jigar's hold on office getting better and send Ahem to office...

@taniks...

Ahem being the elder one can have MM in his name...

now got to get ready for super bowl party!!!

This is so confusing, If the house belongs to Ahem after Chirag, why is Koki fussing and making Ahem be so robotic?!😕

i don't think it's about the house...

it's about the office i think she is fussing over...

Is that because MM is in Ahem's name... koki is heading the house rather than hetal...ufff

lolll @Chika!!! 🤗

As for the show itself, I don't think that Koki is eyeing the office at all. She just wants Ahem to be a noteworthy businessman in India (someone please award him Rajkot's Businessman of the Year Award--maybe then Koki will stop hounding him; then, he can win Gujarat's Businessman of the Year Award and then, go on to win India's Businessman of the Year Award).

Stupid primogeniture laws. Thank god they changed the royal succession laws, so that if Will and Kate have a daughter, she can succeed the throne...(totally random, I know)

I watched the epi., but in it many prominent business ventures are in Chirag's name as well which will land in Jigar's name anyway after Chirag...so why is Rashi making such a bigg fuss over it? And i also saw that there is a study so why does Ahem not study or work there rather than in the living area or in his room😆
