I was thinking about how the education track have made Ahem fall in love with Gopi in 10 days. Suddenly I remembered Greek mythological character , the sculptor, Pygmalion, who didn't like women in general and finally he fell in love with a ivory statue of a beautiful women he himself have carved. He took the statue to the temple of Venus and wished that the statue would become a real woman. His wish was granted by Venus. The statue turned human and they got married.

Now, Now George Bernard Shaw wrote a play inspired by this story. This play is a romantic one which was later made into a musical, the famous 'my fair lady' starring Audrey Hepburn. A Edwardian British phonetics professor holds a bet with a colleague that he can transform a poor, working class girl into a genteel and elegant young lady in 6 weeks and pass her off as a duchess in the royal assembly ball. Eventually, He falls in love with Eliza but hates to admit it. He treats her roughly and doesn't appreciate her efforts. Finally when she succeeds He takes all the credit himself.

Now, there are a lot of similarity between Dr, Higgins and Ahem.
Especially, when Higgins addresses Elizabeth as, " Squashed cabbage leaf" or " Gutter snipe" is equivalent to Ahem's "Gawar" or " Zahil aurat"😆

I didn't want to bore u all. Most of u have probably has seen the movie. But in case some of u missed it, please do watch this classic movie.

It is similar to SNS's Gohem track. Also Higgins mother loves and protects Elizabeth which reminds me of Koki!

Idk why but the concept seems so similar to me. Ahem's attitude to Gopi is similar.

I've watched my fair lady, it is indeed a classic film.

There are some similarities, where Kokila gave Gopi the clothes to wear and Aham took her education in hand, except Audrey Hepburn's case she needed to be shown table manners, how to speak properly, the phrasing for example, but Gopi has got a lot of manners, genteel already and she is very soft spoken. She needed to learn stuff from Aham like put on a seatbelt, how an electric car window works, where the AC button is on the dashboard of the car, be organised with studies, so yes some similarities but not as bad as the my fair lady character...thank god...lol.

But your greek mythology example is good also, because he definitely wants to shape her to be his ideal wife, he always used to say she's not worthy, but somehow I feel he is the unworthy one...the future track does point to this happening too which will be nice to see.

It's a really good comparison especially with "My Fair Lady" because Henry Higgins started off by wanting to chnage Eliza into a perfect gentlewoman worthy of being brought out in polite society. But in the end he falls in love with Eliza and not just because she can pass for a high born lady but because of her with all her perceived faults.
So here's hoping that Ahem has fallen in love with Gopi because of the good in her rather than because she is now worthy of his love.

Gopi has just cleared 1st grade, she hasnt actually changed anything about her.. but what has changed is that after Aham started spending time with her, he noticed her, listened to her and started seeing her for what she is. So if he loves her now, its coz of what Gopi is, Gopi's character hasn't changed a bit from day1. Its Aham who has changed.

Yes, interesting comparison.
But there it must end, because in the play, in the end Eliza is left nowhere. She's not good enough for the upper class society & now she's too good for the lower strata where she comes from. Hope that fate doesn't await Gopi (I feel she's already gone through so much since childhood living in a house of horrors).
