excellent analysis taral. gopi sees what is happening to her, but doesn't have the scope to combat it or realize what is happening is wrong so doesn't know when it is time to fight. aham too sees what is happening around him, he has the scope to understand it, maybe even more power than gopi to set things right, he doesn't misunderstand things, he doesn't get nothing period. we can write pages on why gopi is the way she is, psychoanalyze her saying years of emotional abuse has stunted her ability to fight back. but what about aham, i just don't get his character, why he is so messed up. it is like CVs are writing his character deeper and deeper into the wells of negativity from where there is no way back.
