Hey guys here's the ending to the story. Let me know your thoughts and enjoy!

Gopi lay in bed her head on her husband's chest fully content with her life. He was finally all hers in every way that mattered and he loved her and only her. She couldn't ask for anything else in the world. Ahem was stroking Gopi's hair recalling the events that had just occurred.

"Acha Gopi if you could have anything in the world what would it be?" Gopi was puzzled at his question. Why was he asking her this? Didn't he know that she already had everything she could ever want?

"Ji sach bolu tho I have everything I had ever asked Kanaji for. Growing up I had asked for a family that loved me for me and I got that in Baba. I had asked for a mother in my saas and I got that I maaji. I had also always asked for a husband that would love me and support me in all aspects of my life and I got that through you. I don't need anything else." Ahem looked down at his simple and beautiful life and smiled.

"Woh saab tho theek hai Gopi, lekin (All that is fine but) there has to be something you want that you aren't happy with right now?"

"Well there is something, but I don't think you would like it."

"Why wouldn't I like it Gopi. If it made you happy I would do anything."

"Baba wants me to run the company and I really respect him and his decision, but I never wanted that. It was amazing to learn everything for myself in the case that I ever needed to, but I never wanted to run a company. I want to be a wife, a bahu, and a mother. I want to take care of my husband and my family. I think that's rewarding enough for me. I wanted to learn for myself so that if I ever needed to I can stand up and support myself, my family and my husband." Ahem listened intently to his wife and realized just how simple she was. She was smart and she had such an amazing opportunity to make a great name for herself in the business world, but she put her family above everything else. Ahem had seen all the changes in Gopi, but at heart she was still the loving, caring, Gopi that had won everyone's heart with her good heart and her simple nature. He truly was lucky because there wasn't anyone like her. Ahem hugged his wife and slowly drifted off to sleep.

Gopi woke up the next morning squished in her husband's arms. She smiled at the memory of the previous night and looked up and her husband's sleeping face. He had a small smile on and he looked content. She slowly crawled out of his embrace and walked into the bathroom to shower and change. She was expecting Kamya and Rahul early for breakfast and she knew that most of the ladies would probably already be awake.

Ahem slowly opened his eyes and felt the empty space to his right. He looked around the room and heard the shower go on in the bathroom. He smiled as he recalled the events of the night before. Gopi was finally his in every single way. He closed his eyes and thanked god at all the happiness he had in his life. He had a wonderful family and most of all he had his wife. Gopi walked out of the bathroom drying her hair and made her way to the dresser.

"You're already up Ahemji. What happened? You look very happy." Ahem grabbed his wife from the back and slipped his arms around her waist.

"Now why wouldn't I be happy? I have my beautiful wife with me what more can I ask for. Now we don't have anything to worry about. We can finally be happy with each other." Gopi was so happy to hear this.

"Accha Ahemji let me go. I have to go and prepare breakfast downstairs. Rahul and Kamya will be here any minute and you still have to shower and change."

"No not until I get my good morning kiss." He leaned over and placed a small peck on her cheek and then her lips. Gopi then quickly slipped out of his embrace and sent him into the bathroom.

"Now you shower and meet me downstairs. I have a lot of work to do." Gopi laughed as her husband pouted before going into the bathroom. She quickly made her way downstairs and saw everyone sitting at the dining table smiling and laughing. Rahul and Kamya had already arrived and it seemed the breakfast had already been taken care of.

"Yes Gopi beta. Mota Bhabhi and I took take of breakfast. Come sit down and eat. She made her way to the chair and sat down. She looked over at Malini and Vijay who looked a little down.

"Aunty Uncle what happened? Why do you look so sad this morning?"

"I'll tell you Gopi. I just told them this morning. Rahul and I are shifting to the US permanently to be with the rest of his family. Mom and Dad are just sad that I won't be around as much anymore. It seems that Rahul bought a lucrative business there with the help of Sanjeev Uncle and so we will be leaving this afternoon. He needs to get there quickly because it seems they need him there right away. I'll come back in a few months and tie up some loose ends and take the rest of my stuff." Gopi was shocked. Not only were her best friends leaving but they were leaving that day. She was devastated, but happy that they were moving on with their lives.

"I'm sorry Gopi, Mom, and Dad. I wasn't thinking of leaving so quickly, but I received some urgent news that I need to take care of. I told Kamya to stay here a few more weeks and join us a little later, but she refused."

"It's perfectly okay Rahul. Kamya is just standing by her husband and we are all happy with her decision." After breakfast the whole family sat down and talked before everyone finally said their goodbyes to Rahul, Kamya, Malini, and Vijay. They took all the elders blessing before finally stopping in front of Gopi.

"I'm going to miss you so much Gopi. You have to come and visit me as soon as you can."

"I am too Kamya. You been a great friend and I am so happy for you in your new beginning. You deserve all the happiness in the world and I'm glad you finally got it."

"Ahem Bhai take care of my Gopi. She's fragile, but she's a gem. Goodbye Gopi" Kamya grabbed Gopi and the two exchanged an emotional hug before they finally parted ways. Gopi tearfully watched her two best friends walk out her front door not knowing when they would see each other again. She had grown so accustomed to seeing both their faces each and every day. Ahem put his arm around Gopi and comforted his wife. She smiled over at him and slowly wiped her tears away. She looked over at her family and smiled. Her family!

"Maaji I'll just go and make some tea for all of us." Gopi started making her way to the kitchen, but was halted by a sharp noise. She turned around to see the commotion and was surprised to see Rashi standing at the doorway. Rashi ran over to Gopi out of breath.

"Gopi … marne … tu ja abhi … Gopi."

"Rashiben I can't understand you. What are you saying? Take and a deep breath and tell me clamly what's wrong."

"Listen Gopi I know I haven't exactly been the nicest person to you, but I never wanted to physically hurt you. I was always jealous that everyone always seemed to love you more than me except for Mummy. I'm sorry for everything but you have to listen to me. Umaang and Anita are evil and they will do anything for revenge include hurting you. They are on their way here right now. You have to run." Ahem and Jigar were shocked at what Rashi was saying, but could they really believe her.

"How do we know you're telling the truth Rashi. This could just be another game."

"Jigarji I know I have done a lot of evil things, but I would never physically hurt anyone let alone my own little sister. Please believe me. You have to get Gopi out of here."

"YOU'RE TOO LATE RASHI. ANITA AND I ARE ALREADY HERE AND WE ARE GOING TO MAKE SURE THAT GOPI PAYS FOR EVERYTHING SHE HAS DONE TO ME AND MY SISTER!" Umaang pointed the gun and Rashi and aimed. Ahem screamed and bolted for Umaang, but he was too late. The gun had already gone off. Jigar grabbed Umaang while Ahem ran towards Gopi to discover she was okay.

"Can't you do anything right Bhai. You can't even kill this gawar right." Anita lunged for the gun and aimed towards Gopi again. Before anyone could stop her she pulled the trigger. Sanjeev flew in front of Gopi and the bullet went straight into his chest.

"BABA!" Ahem grabbed Anita and the gun while Chirag went and called the ambulance. "Nahi Baba! I just found you, please you can't leave me. Please." Gopi sobbed into Sanjeev's chest.

"Gopi Beta I'm so happy that I got to know you before my time came. You are the best thing that ever happened to me. It's time for me to go now."

"Nahi Baba you can't go. You can't leave me."

"Ahem beta I'm leaving my little girl in your care. Take care of her for me and make sure she always stays happy. I love you my little pari." With those last words Sanjeev drew his last breath and passed away.

"NOOO! BAAABAAA!" Gopi wept and screamed. Ahem was heartbroken seeing his wife like that. He threw Anita to the ground and looked over at her in disgust. He couldn't believe he had ever loved such an evil girl. The sound of sirens broke him from his thoughts. The paramedics took Rashi into the ambulance and Ahem made Jigar go with her. The police took Anita and Umang away and another stretcher was brought in to take Sanjeev's body away. Ahem walked over to Gopi and Gopi grabbed onto him.

"Why Ahemji why. They took my Baba away from me." Gopi cried into Ahem's chest and Ahem comforted her. Ahem took Gopi upstairs and slowly put her to sleep while he stayed and watched her. His Gopi had seen a lot of sorrow in life. Now she deserved all the happiness in the world and it was his responsibility to make sure she got it.

A month later

It had been a hard month for Ahem and Gopi because Gopi had been depressed for quite a while. Things were slowly beginning to go back to normal and Gopi was finally starting to act like herself again. Rashi was back at Modi Bhawan after seeking forgiveness from everyone. They had forgiven her because Gopi had forgiven her; after all she had staked her life for Gopi. Rashi had helped Gopi deal with her Baba's death and they were slowly becoming friends; sisters. Gopi was happy to have a relationship with Rashi the way she had always wanted. Jigar and Rashi's relationship was slowly beginning to move forward as well with Gopi's push. They were growing closer.

"Gopi I need your signatures on these papers." Gopi signed on the dotted line and smiled over at her husband. He had been her rock through all of this. "Now that you are feeling better you can take over at Shah Industries again." Gopi was shocked at her husband's statement.

"I don't want to."

"Lekin Gopi. It's your company and you are the CEO."

"First off it's our company just like this house is our house. Second I don't think I'm going to have time to be running a company pretty soon. I'm going to be too busy running after something else. Or should I say someone else." Gopi blushed and sat down on the bed. Ahem looked over at her confused before sitting down next to her.

"What are you talking about Gopi. Of course you're not going to be too busy. Mani and Rashi are both here to take care of the house and Mom is not going to mind. You're going to start taking care of things at Shah Industries again." Gopi shook her head at her husband laughing at his uncertainty.

"Acha Ahemji. I think we're going to need more room here so I was thinking of getting rid of this duvet and bringing in a cradle."

"Stop changing the subject Gopi and come back …." Ahem stopped midsentence and looked over at his wife who had a huge smile plastered on her face. "You mean you're … and I'm going…. Oh Gopi you have made me the happiest man in the world. We're going to have a little baby." Ahem hugged Gopi as she giggled and blushed.

"Ahemji this is a little gift for us from Baba! He's giving us his love and blessing. I'm very happy Ahemji very happy." Ahem touched his forehead to Gopi's thinking their life couldn't get any more perfect.
