😛wow...wow..this week TRP is so interesting..SNS still the best serial, IPKKND bag a really high TRP while BV lost TRP. Star Plus 5 serials are in the top 10.👏

The show came second to the soap Saath Nibhana Saathiya during the week 40

Popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati scored brownie points and won not only the channel Sony decent Gross rating points, but also garnered good TRP ratings over the past few weeks.

However, during the week 40 (September 25 to October 1), the show's TVR dipped to 4.44 from a TVR of 5.6 during the preceding week (according to TAM Peoplemeter System, Hindi Speaking Market, CS4+yrs). While during the week, Saath Nibhana Saathiya, a Star Plus show topped the ratings chart with a TVR of 6.22. At the same time Balika Vadhu on Colors slipped to eighth position with a TVR of 3.81.

Iss Pyaar Ko turns slot leader; beats Balika Vadhu

After a slow start the Star Plus show beats Colors' phenomena in the TRP rat race...

The most precious day of the week for which the whole television industry eagerly waits is finally here! After all, Wednesday is the judgment day for television and daily soaps. Keeping in mind today's evaluation, seems like there is some good news instore for the lovers and makers of Star Plus' Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?

As we all know, Colors' Balika Vadhu has created history by garnering the highest TRP since its start and has been giving an unbeatable competition to its counterparts. The show became the leader in the 8 PM slot and continues to be at number one till date.

But the latest ratings have something else to offer. Star Plus' Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? produced by Four Lions Films and Pangalosean Entertainment has surpassed the ratings of Balika Vadhu this week making it to the top successfully.

A source says, "This week Balika Vadhu is at 3.2 ratings and beating the show is Iss Pyaar Ko with 3.4. Also the show is presently at number two on Star Plus with 5 TRPs where as Saath Nibhana Saathiya is at #1."

We contacted Producer Rajesh Chaddha and he conveyed, "It is certainly a big achievement to be the slot leaders and move ahead of the cult show, Balika Vadhu. The next aim for our team is to be the #1 show which I promise we will be very soon."

Its time to blow some whistles and horns as its celebration time for the creators and the spectators...

Star Plus gains 17 GRPs while others fall

MUMBAI: Star Plus is continuing to lead the Hindi generalentertainment channel (GEC) genre, while Sony Entertainment TV (Set), Colors and Zee TV have declined in the week ended 1 October.

As per TAM data for week 40 (25 September-1 October) for the Hindi speaking markets (C&S, 4+), Star Plus added 17 GRPs (gross rating points) this week. The channel ended the week with 306 GRPs (last week 289).

The week also saw grand finale of three shows - Just Dance (Star Plus),India's Got Talent 3 (Colors) and Saregamapa Lil Champs (Zee TV). Just Dance clocked maximum, i.e. 2.9 TVR, while IGT3 and Lil Champs got 2 TVR and 2.6 TVR respectively.

Set, meanwhile, lost 21 GRPs and ended the week with 249 GRPs (270 GRPs in previous week). Colors continued to be at third place with 205 GRPs after losing 6 GRPs. However, the channel may see a jump next week as it will include Bigg Boss5's launch day ratings.

For Zee TV, the news continues to be bad. The flagship channel of Zee Entertainment Enterprises touched a new low, sinking to 157 GRPs (last week 176). No show of the channel figured in the top 10 list.

Sab clocked 126 GRPs (last week 123), followed by Imagine TV with 75 GRPs (last week 78).

Amongst the top 10 shows, Star Plus' Saathiya remained on top with a peak TVR of 6.22, followed by Set's KBC (4.44 TVR) and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain (4.42 TVR). Other shows on the list are: Is Pyaar Ko Kyaa Naam Doon (Star Plus, 4.2 TVR), Uttaran (Colors, 3.94 TVR), Sasural Genda Phool and Yeh Rishta (Star plus, 3.9 TVR each), Balika Vadhu (Colors, 3.81 TVR), Pratigya (Star Plus, 3.76 TVR) and Crime Petrol (Set, 3.71 TVR).
