Star Plus & Colors remain stable;
Sony up, Zee TV down Ratan Ka Rishta finale event delivers
5.1 TVR helping Imagine TV maintain

Star Plus has maintained its GRPs over
the 300 mark in the second consecutive
week while Imagine TV has also
maintained the status quo this week.
The finale event of Swayamvar Season 3 ' Ratan Ka Rishta has garnered 5.1 TVR
helping Imagine TV maintain its GRPs
over 100 points. Zee TV has again gone
below 200 GRPs in the week 28 of TAM
2011. Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta has again topped
the chart with 5 TVR followed by Balika
Vadhu (4.7), Uttaran (4.3), Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata hai (4.2) and Saathiya (3.9). India's No.1 Hindi general entertainment
channel Star Plus has maintained its leadership with over 300 GRPs. The
channel is consistent over 300 mark in
the second consecutive week. In the
week 28 of TAM 2011, Star Plus has
recorded 309 GRPs (last week 311). The second most watched Hindi
GEC Colors too has maintained the status quo from the last week. The
channel has recorded 252 GRPs in the 28th week of TAM 2011 (last week 253). The No.3 Hindi GEC Zee TV has again lost 12 GRPs this week and recorded 193
GRPs on TAM people meters (205 GRPs
last week). Zee TV remained over 200
GRPs for consecutive 4 weeks. After adding 23 GRPs last week,
Sony Entertainment Television has yet again registered growth in the week
28 of TAM 2011. The channel has
garnered 184 GRPs (last week 173). SAB has recorded 131 GRPs (last week 134). The grand finale event of Swayamvar
season 3 ' Ratan Ka Rishta has delivered
5.1 TVR for Imagine TV. The channel had crossed 100 mark after a long time in
the week 27 of TAM 2011 as the
Mehandi and Sangeet of Swayamvar
season 3 had performed well on the
people meters. Now with 5.1 TVR for
the finale event, the channel has garnered 104 GRPs in the 28th week.
(last week 107).

Star Plus continues to lead; Sony sees an 11-point jump

Second-in-command Colors is just one point less from the previous week, garnering 252 GRPs during the given period, while its relative share for the week is 19.6 per cent. In Week 27, the relative share stood at 19.3 per cent.

Star Plus, the flagship Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) from the STAR stable, continues to lead the category for the week ended July 9, 2011. The channel has however lost two points during the week to stand at 309 GRPs, while its relative share has moved up from 23.8 per cent, to 24.1 per cent in Week 28 (TAM, C&S 4+, HSM).

Second-in-command Colors is just one point less from the previous week, garnering 252 GRPs during the given period, while its relative share for the week is 19.6 per cent. In Week 27, the relative share stood at 19.3 per cent.

At No. 3, Zee TV is at 193 GRPs, after losing 12 points over the previous week. Its relative share saw a decline from 15.7 per cent in Week 27, to 15 per cent in Week 28.

Meanwhile, the No. 4 GEC, Sony, has witnessed an 11-point jump from 173 GRPs, to 185 GRPs. Its relative share has also increased from 13.2 per cent, to 14.3 per cent in Week 28.

Sibling channel SAB, at the fifth position, has scored 131 GRPs in Week 28. Its relative channel share is stable at 10.2 per cent for the week.

At No. 6, Imagine TV lost three points during the week, to score 104 GRPs. Its relative share is also stable at 8.1 per cent. STAR One, with 36 GRPs and a channel share of 2.8 per cent, follows it.

Sahara One is at No. 8. The channel's relative share and GRPs have dipped marginally to 2.3 per cent (2.6 per cent in the previous week), and 30 GRPs (34 GRPs in the previous week), respectively.

Sahara Utsav and DD1 have garnered relative shares of 2 per cent and 1.2 per cent, respectively.

Pavitra Rishta (Zee TV) leads the list of the 10 most-watched programmes, clocking a TVR of 5.28, followed by Swayamvar Season-3 Ratan Ka Rishta (Imagine TV) and Balika Vadhu (Colors), with TVRs of 5.1 and 4.96, respectively.

The fourth most-watched programme is Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, with 4.93 TVR. Uttaran (4.71 TVR) and Pratigya (4.17 TVR) follow next. Saathiya Saath Nibhana at no.7., Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, Ram Milayi Jodi and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah are also part of the Top 10 list.
