Part 14
Gopi who was an early riser woke up at 6 a.m and tried to come out of the bed when she felt a weight on her waist. That's when she remembered that Aham had slept in her room last night. She tried to move his arm without waking him up but he groaned and held her tighter. It was now impossible for Gopi to move as Aham's head was on her shoulder and he was holding her tight. She tried to move him again and he protested in a sleepy voice
Aham: Let me sleep angel.. I've never had such a lovely sleep before.. and you go back to sleep as well..
Gopi smiled and said: It's six o'clock already and I have to get ready and make breakfast for everyone.. You can sleep some more if you but please let me go..
Aham opened his eyes and looked at her lovingly: Didn't we go to bed just now? and it's already morning? I better get up as well since I have to go jogging.. We'll get up in 5 minutes ok?
Saying so he put his head back on Gopi's shoulder and closed his eyes. Gopi who was surprised to see this side of him ran her fingers through his hair and said
Gopi: I have to get up now Aham.. And you have to go back to your room too before someone notices you are not there..
Aham gave her an annoyed look and said: God! you are so unromantic pari..
Gopi kissed him on his cheek and said: I'll be very romantic after our wedding but I really have to go now..
Saying so he pushed him off her and ran to the bathroom. Aham hugged Gopi's pillow and inhaled her sweet perfume and stayed in bed for some more time before he decided to get up and go to his own room to get ready for his jog.
Gopi got ready and went to the kitchen after doing her prayers. Koki and Hetal were both very impressed when they saw her praying so early in the morning and blessed her. They both helped Gopi prepare breakfast and as usual Gopi made everyone's favourite dishes. Koki and Hetal left Gopi on her own when everything was nearly done and went to wake up the kids.
Aham who had just come back from his jogging went to the kitchen to have some water when he saw Gopi adding the final touches to the dishes she made. Since her back was to the door she did not notice him entering the kitchen and Aham made full use of this opportunity. He tiptoed his way to where Gopi was and hugged her from the back and kissed her soundly on the cheek.
Gopi who had recognised him by his touch said: What are you doing Mr Modi? What if somebody sees us?
Aham who was hugging Gopi with his left hand tried to take some food from a plate from his right hand and Gopi slapped his hand off.
Aham: Ouch pari.. that hurt.. and why are you upset with me?
Gopi: You will get breakfast after you get ready and how did you know I'm upset?
Aham: Because you called me Mr Modi sweetheart.. Can't I even taste a tiny little bit?
Gopi: No.. Go get ready now before somebody comes..
Aham turned gopi around and kissed her passionately on her lips and pulled her closer. Gopi lost herself again and wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back. Suddenly she felt Aham leave her and when she opened her eyes she saw him standing in front of the fridge drinking water. She was looking at him confused when she heard koki coming in the kitchen.
Koki: Is everything done Gopi beta?
Gopi who was all red smiled at koki and said: Ji maji..
Koki: You are looking tired beta.. Go freshen up and I'll ask mani to set the table..
Gopi: Ji Maji.. I'll be right back..
Koki: What are you doing here Aham?
Aham who was pretending to drink water chocked and started coughing. Gopi ran to his side and started rubbing his back.
Gopi: are you ok?
Aham smiled at her and nodded and said: I came to drink some water mom.. I've just come back from jogging..
Koki smiled at both of them and said: Ok then.. Both of you freshen up and we'll meet at the breakfast table.
Aham: ok mom..
Gopi: Ji maji..
Both Gopi and Aham went to their separate rooms to freshen up and get ready for work. When Gopi was nearly done combing her hair she saw Aham standing behind her through the mirror. She gave him a look and said
Gopi: You've come back again?
Aham smiled sweetly at her and said: Yes sweetheart.. I have something for you..
Gopi: What?
Aham asked her to close her eyes and made her wear a necklace with AG pendent. Both letters formed an intricate design and you had to look closely to notice that it was the initials AG.
Aham hugged Gopi from the back and asked her to open her eyes. Gopi opened her eyes and found a breathtakingly beautiful pendent and also noticed that the inticate design was their initials.
Gopi turned around and hugged Aham: Thank you... It's beautiful..
Aham: This is a small token of my love sweetheart.. Isse apne aap se kabhi door mat karna..
Gopi: I'll always keep it next to my heart.. Promise.. We should go down for breakfast now before someone comes looking for us.
Aham: Do we really have to go Pari? Can't we stay here a bit longer?
Gopi: No we can't stay longer.. Let's go or we'll be late for work..
Saying so Gopi made her way downstairs and Aham followed her half heartedly. They joined everyone at the breakfast table and started eating.
Aham: Woh.. mom.. Is it ok if Angel and her sisters stay with us for some time?
Koki smiled and say: Yeh bhi koi puchne ki baat hai aham? Of course they can stay with us for as long as they like. Not only the girls but the boys are welcomed to stay as well..
Raj: thank you so much aunty.. Rahul, Sameer and I have to go back today but we are very grateful that you are keeping the girls with you..
Hetal: Don't worry beta.. Hamare liye jaisi kinjal waise hi tumhari behnein..
Ria who had noticed Gopi's pendent said in a cheeky voice: Your pendent is gorgeous di.. Very intricate design.. When did you buy it? I never saw you wear it before..
Gopi chocked on her tea and said: Woh.. Mein.. I bought it after coming here..
Rano: Where is our's then di? Did you not get a similar one for us this time?
Jia: haan di where's mine? I want mine as well?
Sonal who finally understood that Aham must have given the necklace to Gopi and seeing how red she was at being teased decided to step in.
Sonal: Stop it now girls.. Behave yourselves.. Remember we are staying here as guests and we should not cross our limits..
Koki was very impressed with Sonal and her mind was now working overtime . She was now thinking that Sonal would be perfect for Jigar and both sisters will take good care of the house as she already liked Gopi for aham.
Ria,Rano,Jia: Sorry di..
Gopi smiled at them and said: It's ok.. I will get one for each of you as well since you like it so much..
After breakfast Gopi and Aham went to work in the same car and everyone else in separate cars.
Gopi: Aham.. Can you please tell me where you bought this pendent from?
Aham smiled at gopi and said: It's ok sweetheart.. I have already ordered one for each of your sisters..
Gopi: Kya?? But how did you know what their birthstone is and what initials will be used?
Aham: Simple honey.. The birthdays came up in a conversation I was having with Ria and she told me.. And I'm using their own initials for all the girls except for Sonal..
Gopi: What do you mean except for Sonal?
Aham: Well my dear wife to be.. Sonal's pendant will not be SS(sonal singhania) but it will be JS..
Gopi who was maha confused said: JS? Ab yeh JS kya hai Aham?
Aham looked at Gopi disbelievingly and said: Don't tell me you have not caught up yet??
Gopi now gave aham a frustrated look and said: Caught up on what Mr Modi?
Aham: Yehi that both Jigar and mom like Sonal..
Gopi who was still not catching on said: So??? Everybody likes sonal.. What's so special about Jigar and maji liking her as well?
Aham: Uff meri ma... They like her as in like her as Jigar's future bride!!!
Gopi then remembered how Jigar and sonal were always stealing glances and blushing. How could she have missed it? She felt really stupid now for making Aham spell it out for her. She gave Aham an embarassed look and they both burst out laughing.
Aham looked at Gopi lovingly and said: I don't believe you missed that..
Gopi blushed and said: Yeah I don't believe it either..
They had reached the office by now and made their way in.
Ok guys.. That's it for today.. I hope you liked it as I'm not really satisfied with what I wrote..
