I disagree since it is highlighting the bias and prejudices in the society. This double standard of course is one bias in the society women face. Notice in both family it is the son of the family drinking and his drinking appears to be ok and forgivable.
If you remember after Saloni drank at the party Tara treated Saloni at the Puja really bad.
