"How can a woman raise a prostitute's baby knowing that she is fathered by some characterless guy"

I really think you don't know the first thing about a baby, otherwise u would never have said such a thing. Babies are babies, they turn out to be what we make them. We r defined by nurture and not nature. Nature only gives us our looks but nurture gives the babies and us our character.

I would have loved to see kaveri adopt a baby "any baby" rather than this underhanded way of decieving her family. This is where she is wrong rather than getting a prostitutes baby.

Sorry if i offended you.

First, they are showing that a wealthy woman is fooling her husband and society by buying a prostitute's babay girl. She is stooping so low as a woman. How can a woman raise a prostitute's baby knowing that she is fathered by some characterless guy.
Second, how can a husband not touch or feel his wife's stomach for the entire time during her pregnancy and not doubt anything weird about it or not ever confronted that he had rights to touch her!

I am lashing at the story writer's thinking. If they had shown that Kaveri could never become a mother again, then it would have been ok to buy a baby so her husband doesn't get mad or leave her forever. However, that is not the scenario here. If I have to choose a baby like this, I would at least want to know who were the father and mother. That's me and my viewpoint. Everyone has a different way of thinking.

I don't think Kaveri will treat this baby nice. She will keep this in her mind that it's not her baby. 🤢
