I know she is not a negative character but she she is not positive either. its her daughters sons and bahus. she should be very affectionate towards them and try to teach them everything by love. she is lucky to have bahus who are very loving abd caring and more importantly they understand each other very well. we have old grandparents too who are old school but not like this.

Honestly, i didnt like it from the first interaction when she said to toasty, 'your parents havent taught you anything'. that was not required. personally i dont mind elders or anyone correcting my mistake, but if someone talks to me like that thats a biggest turnoff.. she keeps putting nitika down all the time. even the puja time, i felt that was ok since she was mad and expressed her feelings but she didnt bring any insulting comments to her parents. i really dont like that kind of comments and it pisses me off.

I mean this is the reason why malti didnt want her mom right??

She has a good heart and means well but you cant always teach an old person new ways of thinking

She comes from the village life where work is very gender specific...besides Toasty "love" to be a housewife...so she should take that responsibility

I kinda like Nani Ma cause she is showing that Toasty does not know best and there are certain traditions one such follow (Sorry but I have never been able to stand Toasty and her superficial mushroom induced cheeriness)

Rest is up to Chedi to let Nani Ma know there is a certain way of life in the family before she came...but he is a bit scared of her and they need her...so
