Why Alka ?

I was very disappointed to find Alka Yagnick join as guest on two consecutive days. I just hope she does not make a comeback as a judge in srgmp. For one, she has a strong sense of personal likes and dislikes and gives it more importance than singing. We have seen it time and again. She threw 'Neha Verma' out during judges round in earlier little champ. Neha was a very talented young kid, but Alka did not like something in her may be her looks or the fact that Neha's were not 'rich'. When she squints her eyes and wrinkles her ugly nose, I think uh oh there she goes again and I saw her display the same mannerism with Sahil Solanki - somehow she did not approve of that kid. I think she should be banned from srgmp - plain and simple. We want fair and knowlegable judges like Sonu and Sureshji, not a fiesty unpleasant one like her.

Alka may have other shortcomings, but she knows music in and out. She has been singing from even before Sonu became a popular name. Her knowledge is definitely as asset.

She was the one who moulded Sanchita , and brought out the best in her. She did that for another couple of contestants in another show...

She is any day preferred as a celeberity judge than some "Oh my, so wonderful" type, female stars...who contribute nothing of quality.....

Well... i dont really think she's gonna be a permanent judge! 😛 ... Maybe like asha nothing big 😉

Yeah she has years of experience in playback singing but she has lots of personal shortcomings. She brought the best out of Sanchita after Sanchita came under her fold. But before that she clearly did not like Sanchita and always used to give her poor grades on silly excuses like 'pata nehin muje acha nehin laga'. I personally would not like see her ever again as a judge and destroy some kid's hopes and ambitions and possibly career. Example is 'Neha Verma' the shy poor kid.

Perhaps you are not seeing the picture on a broader perspective. The criticism of Sanchita actually helped Sanchita the most. Sanchita is a good singer but she had to improve at some places and these budding singers should take these criticisms in a positive way and concentrate to correct the mistakes pointed out, rather taking them in the negative way...that way only they can benefit... The biggest satisfaction is making the person who had once criticised to praise the nest time....thats the biggest achievement....

I would anyday see Alka Yagnik as the guest than Dia mirza...

couldn't agree with you more Adi. when i read the topic title the first thing that came to my mind was "why not alka?" i mean she's a singer, and this is a show about singing. i think with lil champs zee is doing a good job of restoring the quality of this show by calling music-related celebrities like singers and composers more often. i was fed up of all the actors (and even cricketers and politicians😕) that came in C07. i mean i don't mind them but there should be a balance between music-related and non-music related guests. now, every time i hear that a singer or MD is coming i get so happy.😃

The show does not need Alka to put the right musical perspective on with Sonu and Sureshji already doing it and doing a heck of a job at it. Sonu defines playback singing and knows all the nuances far better than Alka does and Sureshji is a prodigy having started singing at age 3. We do not want an opininated feisty woman like Alka coming to the show with her baggage and hang-ups. It's Diya any day for me 😉

well...i was thinking it might have been nice if Alka did become the permanent judge...maybe to balance it out 😛
