HERE's an article I found about adi's fathers song choice....I wonder if it is the same as ADI's
Interview : Mellifluous Udit! |
Excerpts from an Interview: Udit tell us, what kind of songs do you prefer to listen to? Well, over the years I've song quite a number of songs and I particular like those numbers that are well supplied with nice music together with catchy lyrics. And if the singer is nice, then the song becomes all the more nice to listen to. And what kind of songs irks you?
Of late, a lot of films with good music have made its way to the stands. Which one would be your numero uno pick? My ideal pick of all would be 'Om Shanti Om'. I personally loved it. Not that this album boasts of anything new and unique but what especially makes it top my list of favorites is its great music. I had told Vishal-Shekhar much prior to the films release that the songs would surely be chartbuster smash hits and quite fortunately even the film pulled off to a big hit. I'm very happy. What do you have to comment over the remix trend that is in its all time high now? I do not favor remixes. I only like original tracks. I feel that they are musically more tasteful and refined. No remixes for me.
You have been around in the industry for quite some time. What do you have to say about the contemporary musical scene in Bollywood today? Look, I'm not being a conformist over the matter when I say that 'Old is gold'. I do not think that the contemporary musicians can in anyway beat the maestros of the yesteryears. Definitely, contemporary music is not that good but its not that bad either. All kind of songs gets easy buyers nowadays, whether good or bad. But for me melody counts the most. Song sans melody is like body sans soul. |
Enjoy!!! And,leave a comment!!!!!
