👏👏👏Salil ji.Your post is like fresh breeze. No doubt that Rafi saab was most versatile singer of all time and the i love the way you have categorized different moods/genre of his song.I would like to add some songs in romantic moods..Baharon phool barsao,Jaane bahar husn tera bemisaal hai,Ek haseen shaam ko dil mera kho gaya.

Thanks saan. Rafi saab has sung countless beautiful songs in romatic mood --- practically for all the leadings stars of 50s, 60s and 70s. Amongst those, I specially like the ones he sung in a very soft voice. They create a different kind of mood altogether... To name a few --

- ab kya misal dun main tumhare shabab ki (aarti)
- door rehkar na karo baat karib aa jaao (amanat)
- tujhe kya sunau mai dilruba tere samane mera haal hai (akhari daao)
- husnwale tera jawab nahin, koi tujhsa nahi hazaron mein (gharana)
- main nigahe tere chehare se hatau kaise (aapaki parchhaiyan)
- tu kahan yeh batan is nashili raat mei (tere ghar ke saamane)
- aise to na dekho ke humko nasha ho jaye (teen deviyan)

You are right Salil,DOOR REH KAR NA KARO BAAT is one of my favorite song, beautifully sung by Rafi saab.I Just loved the way he sings 'Aaj bas mein nahi jazbat' ,just wonderfull.Master at his best!I also like his duet with Lata ji which is rarely heard 'Aaja ke intezaar mein, jaane ko hai bahar bhi from Halaku.I wish this post of yours becomes sticky. 😊
