The international singers didn't get the same support as home grown one. Bengali singers seem to be getting unfair advantage due to regional voting patterns.

The show should have 50% Public votes and 50% votes by Gurus to decide the winner. It is seems Public failed to choose the best. People taking a day off to voten for their favorite doesn't cut it, it just shows more agressive the supporters more likely to win.

I donot think its fair to single out Bangal Bangal has always produced some of our finest singers.

However, I do agree that something needs to be done about regional voting system for its definitely not fair to an international contestent.

I agree that it would be nice if there was a system that could prevent regionalism from taking over (not that I believe that's what happened this time)...but I also don't think it was as extreme of a problem as some people are making it out to be. If international contestants really had such a huge disadvantage, Amanat wouldn't have made it as far as he did.

No.
With Gurus like Himesh, I don't think we can get rid of any of the bias.

Perhaps, there should be a separate panel in which the judges do not mentor particular contestants.

Why cant particular persons accept the Amanat's defeat gracefully. Why we should not vote for home grown singers. Next time ZeeTV msut not invite foreigners.

The foreignors bring in the $$$$ .

Plus, they vote, for the most part, with less bias.

If you want to only vote for home grown then zee should not ask international participants to participate and neither they should ask females to participate only Bengali males should participate.

The idea is to bring out the best not just home grown. The current system is open to abuse and it doesn't bring forward the most talented. Aneek is clearly not the best neither most talented.

Foreigners have lived in different culture then their own and have made it therefore they know the importance of being open and honest. Closed societies based on tribalism end up like middle east.

I dunno at the same time i think if pakistan was allowed to vote, they would have voted for only the pakistani contestants, i mean i think india would do the same think if and indian contestant went to pakistan, indians would beshowered votes on the indian contestant...but at the same time, its not fair that amanat's home town didtn get to vote for him, i dont kno, next time they do a world competition, they need to give it more thought.

well said. zee made so much revenue from international singers. Plus TRP in number one show. If they called this show is world cup of singer then why they let amanat home town voting for him.
