It's official — Himesh Reshammiya has finalised his next three films after Aap Kaa Surroor. The first one is Karz, to be directed by Satish Kaushik, the second one will be co-produced and directed by John Mathew Mathan (Shikhar) and the last will be directed by Pooja Bhatt.
Himesh will be composing the songs and singing for all three films, which will be produced by T-Series.
Tapori talk
Says a source close to Himesh, "John Mathew Mathan has signed Himesh to play the lead in his forthcoming venture starting in January 2008.
Himesh will play a tapori and the film is a musical love story between a tapori and a rich businesswoman. John is confident that this film will do for Himesh what Sarfarosh did for Aamir — give him a change of image.
A new girl will be introduced and a new look is being worked out for Himesh."
Pooja Bhatt's film has been written and conceived by Mahesh Bhatt with dialogues by Shagufta. Says Bhatt, "Yes, we are doing a film with Himesh. The team that made Dhokha is reuniting for this film.
My friend Johny Bakhshi is co-producing the film. Johny was the person who had given me a break in 1973 and that's the only reason I am giving my creative inputs for an outside banner.
The films is a love story set against the backdrop of Heera Mandi. It's about a guy who meets a girl in Morocco and traces her down to Heera Mandi where she is a prostitute."
New look
Adding that Himesh will sport three different looks for each of the films, the friend adds, "Himesh's sister Rupa (director Prashant Chadha's wife) has been buying skull caps for Himesh from all over the world as everyone is loving this look.
Rupa says Himesh has a collection of 1,000 caps and more than 100 leather jackets, so she doesn't know how many skull caps she'll have to buy. Himesh has lost five kilos and will only reveal his new look after he sheds six more kilos."
