Musical duo Vishal-Shekhar are on cloud nine these days, and rightfully so. With the music of Om Shanti Om rocking the charts and Dard-E-Disco becoming the new anthem of nightclubs, the duo has every reason to celebrate. The film is truly the re-discovery of Vishal-Shekhar who have created music so unconventional, that it breaks the norms they had set in their previous films. So impressed is everyone by the soundtrack of Om Shanti Om , that even SRK is said to have called it the best music for a film he has done. No wonder King Khan was more than willing to bare all and dance to their spunky tunes.
Their small stint in Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi and Kaante won them rave reviews. With foot-tapping numbers like Saaki and Ek Ajnabee in Musafir , their rise to fame was a given.

In 2005, Vishal-Shekhar scored music for hit films like Salaam Namaste and Bluffmaster . Heart thumping music coupled with some soulful numbers have made this pair a favourite amongst directors and producers. They conquered the charts with Allah Ke Bande, Dus Bahane, Right Here Right Now, Meter Down and Sajnaji Vari Vari . This duo has managed to strike a balance between music composition and lyric writing for movies like Karam, Zinda, Jhankaar beats, Golmaal, Cash … and the list goes on! Vishal Dadlani also surprised everyone by singing Dhoom machale for the film Dhoom 2. Vishal is a part of a Mumbai based electronic band Pentagram that was formed in 1993. Pentagram is the first Indian band to play at Glastonbury. Their music is a combination of Indian classical with a western rock influence.
